Well I have FINALLY taken enough surveys and tried enough products to get me a Roomba. I love my grill that I got free, but I think this one will be even better. I am too excited, but afraid it will suck! or won't suck! But I like free!

I belong to several survey and product testing companies- I got the grill from one and the Roomba from another I have over 200 dollars in gift certificates at a third, but I have not decided where I want a gift certificate. If you are serious, I will send out referrals and you can decide. But these do actually pay and send you stuff. The surveys are basic surveys- product questions, food habits, etc...

I've always been interested in both of those. When I was looking for another job I kept coming across the secret shopper thing but one of the requirements was to be able to follow directions (map). I so can't do that.

seriously? I have never had to follow a map to get someplace. I just pick shops that are placed I want to go...that I would be going anyway is always good. I have a cell phone company I do every other month its in the mall where I work...so I just stop by while I am walking to lunch and get paid for it.

the SHE BOSS got sick the day before i received my welcome kit.  but when she get's back i'm going to get started.  i shouldn't be so wiped out in the evenings then.

Cool!

One site- mypoints- is all reading emails usually for 5 points- I have almost 18000 points! I am not sure what to spend it on yet. But all you have to do is open the email- reading it is another story!

One site- bzz agent - is trying free products and then telling others about it and then telling them.

the last one is zoomerang and it is all surveys that pay rewards and then you can cash them in- my grill was my first gift!

I have worked for one secret shopping company that I don't like: IntelliShop. I've only done one shop for them, but I dread doing another, so I probably won't. It's like they go out of their way to make the shop super hard, their instructions and questions don't match, and the pay is just not worth the fuss. After my experience, I looked them up (on volition I think) and other people have had the same experience.

I used to do surveys that paid paypal and I have never reported anything. Now the ones I do for money they just send checks.... never thought about it though.

I beleive if you make more than $600 you have to claim it on federal taxes, but the company should send you a form at the end of the year if they are reporting it (which only happens when they cross the $600 threshold).

I BELEIVE this is true. I actually have to check into it this year for my new biz. I have to know at what point I have to report an artists earnings on CD sales.

You're supposed to report it on your taxes as income. If you make over a certain amount from one company (I can't remember how much), they'll send you a 1099, and then you really do have to report it on your taxes.
