well hopefully if its a historical buiding they will rebuild it to look the same. They did that with the buidings in Rapid City that burned, its not 100% but very close.

Oh, I forgot to mention, that including our own, there were 13 fire districts represented in this fire. The big ladder truck came from Kearney (65 miles) but there were also mutual aid trucks that came from as far as Grand Island (1.5 hrs) and North Platte (1.5 hrs).

My wife works with a lady that her son is on the local fire district and she said he went home early this morning to bed, slept for an hour then couldn't sleep any more so went back and got back on a hose again.

this is one of the buildings we lost a few years ago it was built it 1986.

this was in Keystone it is about 5 minutes from MT Rushmore....it was arson. All of the buildings were build it the 1880's as well.

this is the new building.....made to look like the old one that burned in 1988 its a pretty close match but I cant find an old picture for the life of me. hmm

I'm shocked at how fast they move to knock down the building in Nebraska!

It must have been unstable and a risk to collapse huh? Around here it seems like it takes months before they get around to clearing out a lot when a building burns.

I think there is a major highway that goes past the building and it was unstable.

Yes, you are both right.

It was just too unstable and they can't leave the street closed because it is State highway #2.
