Drops From Live365

Every 2 hrs? I haven't been asked once today to continue listening. I have been asked once in awhile other days though.

really?

And your not VIP?

I've read on their forums that it's been very sporadic.  Some stations have gotten complaints from listeners saying it happens to them every THIRTY minutes!

no, I'm not VIP yet. And if you a near by for you to hear it- it will make a beeping noise a few times to notify you that they want to know if you are still listening. As long as you click continue there is no disconnect.

Yesterday I was tuned in from 8:15am until 4:30pm. I did not get a continue message until 4:15pm.

And you're NOT VIP Woo?

That is SO strange. The Live365 forum is going crazy with complaints about 30 minute intervals for it.

I wonder if we get a break because we do a live broadcast while a lot of other stations are canned.

any other non-vip listeners go that long between notices?

I've had it twice so far today, and I tuned in around 9AM (Eastern time)

hmmmm I wonder what I am doing different? weirdface

maybe it has something to do with how often you mess with volume on the player?

I will mute it if I get a phone call or something. Turn it up for certain songs.

oh sure, that's it!

Anytime you touch the player it's resetting back to the full time because it knows you're tuned in.

If my input is of any help at all, I never adjust on the computer itself - I have a volume knob on my speaker that I use for phonecalls, etc.

I am generally a person whom the 8 ball likes to follow. hmm

That explanation just doesn't feel right.

I started listening at 9:00am (GMT) and it's now 4:34pm (GMT) and I have not been asked yet.

I let my VIP expire until this RIAA thing gets ironed out. I was not real impressed with their billing system. I originally paid for six months. I was surprised when they renewed my subscription for another six months without asking or notifying me. The charge just showed up on my credit card. I went to turn off automatic renewal and there is no place to do that. After looking some more, there is no way to cancel online. You have to contact them and request that they stop billing you.

This time, I knew the card they were using for me was expiring so they couldn't auto charge it.

You can sign up, you can even update your credit card all online . . . to cancel, you have to submit a request to them . . . something about that seems fishy to me.

I've always disliked that too Web.

It's the same for broadcast billing. I hate it when companies go out of their way to make it diffcult to cancel, and I've NEVER been a fan of auto-renewal.

actually that is why I am not VIP. I couldn't find out if there was automatic billing which I detest. I would love to support but I don't like to be locked into anything or have a hassle of changing things.
