Struggling Ford pays boss $28M for 4 months

Struggling Ford Motor Company, which posted a record $12.7 billion net loss in 2006, gave its new CEO Alan Mulally $28 million for four months on the job, according to a statement filed Thursday. The details were made public as Ford moves ahead with plans to close plants and cut more than 30,000 hourly positions in an effort to stem losses.

when I think of what is wrong with america domestically, I will place this near the top of my list. why do people even pay union dues anymore, its quite obvious unions have no power?

30,000 people and their familys lives are going to change, most likely for the worse. and yet this is somehow ok.....furious
