Me too SG......I love their music and would love to see them live.  In my opinion, Carlos is right up there with Hendrix and Clapton when it comes to the best guitarists in the world!!  I'm glad he's finally getting the awards and recognition he's deserved for so long!!

I'd be definately up to see "Daughtry" too, if and when they come around. I like his debut album that he has come out with now that he's not touring w/ last years American Idol finalists...

Daughtry was great at Universal Studios last Saturday.  Tight band and he sounded great (Sometimes better than the CD).

I really would have liked to see the Beach Boys when all were alive. When I was 15 my friend and his Dad and I would harmonize together singing Beach Boy songs and we were pretty good. Of course Elvis.... then I would also like to see SteelHeart, That dude can belt out a song!

I almost went to see Elvis in the early 70s with my mom. She went without me, I am glad that she got to see him!

I wish I could've gone to Woodstock SG, but at the time I was only 9 years old and my parents weren't flower children......they were dead set against that whole era of rock n roll, and they blamed The Beatles for destroying society as they knew it, haha.  Really makes me wonder about my parents  sometimes; they were both in their 20's throughout the 60's but for some reason they had the mindset of much older people.  hmm

Never got to see the Beatie Boys or the GoGos.  Those would've been exciting.

I would've also liked to see Whitesnake...........and Motley Crue back in the day but I was too young.

LS......Aerosmith really is that good live!!  First time I saw them was right after "Get Your Wings" album was released.......Foghat opened for them (they were really good at the time too)........last time I saw them was after "Permanent Vacation" came out.  They only improved with age!

Thinking back on all the concerts I've attended has made me realize how truly shocking ticket prices are now.  I saw so many great, great shows for less than $7.00 a ticket.....average price used to be $5.00.  Most expensive concert I went to at the time was $22 for an all day and night show which featured Cheap Trick, Bob Segar, Van Halen, Blue Oyster Cult, REO Speedwagon, Rush, Uriah Heap, Ted Nugent, and an "unknown" U2 opening the show.  Those were the days!!!

Sounds like you got waaaaay more than $22 worth there - Wow!!

Ticket prices are horrendous, especially for the huge stadium acts. Sometimes I think it's a wonder that anyone at all shows up at those things!

Aerosmith rocked the two times I saw them! Steven is SO full of energy and flips and grooving'! You get whiplash following him!

I, too, would like to have seen the Doors and Hendrix. I would have also like to have seen Boston, Beatles, Bruce Springsteen and Phil Collins- solo or not. Oh yeah and Rush!

I saw Boston once - on their big 1986 reunion tour. Best sounding show ever - they were like flawless.

RUSH is always amazing live. Not in a Steven Tyler run-around all sexy type of way, of course. But that's cool. I can understand that it must be tough for Geddy to sing lead, play keyboards, and play the most amazing bass in the world ALL AT ONCE!!!

My husband had tickets to see Ozzy with Randy, but Randy died & the show went on later with Brad Gillis.
Do love Brad Gillis, though....

Steelheart are "local heroes" where I'm from, so they were never hard to find!

As soon as I read that line, it put "Too Young To Fall In Love" into my head! Listen to me: DO NOT WAIT! You're very lucky in the sense that you still have the opportunity. This isn't a Def Leppard situation - The original band is together, and Mick Mars is still well enough to perform, Thank God. You really should go when the chance comes again!

Whitesnake was never very big in the U.S. with their original members, and personally, I didn't know anything about them until much later, when MTV came around, and there they were with what I respectfully refer to as their "Yummy line-up" (You know, I still can't understand why I'm just not taken seriously as a music journalist....) when literally, 2 of the sexiest me I've ever known (Coverdale & Sykes) were on stage together Plus Cozy Powell on drums, ... sigh.... yup yup yup...
But the Late 80's Supergroup thing was too much for me. Did we really need that much talent on stage, with stupid dyed-blond hair, over sexing up everything? It was silly.
OK, so skip to many many years later, Cozy is dead, I have met & been flirted with by John Sykes (still yummy!), and Coverdale is still going out there with some more excellent musicians - what I'm gettin' at, is that I didn't see Whitesnake for the first time until 2005. And that Whitenake has really always been Coverdale. And it is really really worth going to see him, even 3 decades into the band's career!

"Too Fast For Love" is my favorite Motley album. but performance-wise, Vince has gotten much better over the years. At least, certianly compared to "Theater" or "Girls" tours...
