I'm back from hangin' with the cool kids in the vid game section of Circuit City.  I wound up getting a better deal than I expected!

The unit was $169.99 (they just recently dropped the price from $199) and CC was running a promotion where you get the unit for $150 and a nice hardcase to store it in for $19.99 as a bundle.

After the $100 certificate from my gas station, I basically got the unit for $50.00.

Can't complain about that.

Wow, you did get a great deal JR!!!  Hope you have fun with it too.  If there's a GameStop anywhere near you, you might want to pop in there and take a look at some games.  You can get some great prices on used games.  I've shopped there for five years now and have never had a problem with any used games from them.  They also buy games....just in case you've bought something you're not too crazy about, but don't expect to get the price you paid for it.  They also sell new games too.  And they're on the web....can always look on their site and order games, or check on availability at one of their stores near you.

Yeah, I get most of my PS2 games at GameStop. I've traded some games in, but I usually only get a couple bucks for them.
