Good day all. Busy day for me. I've got 2 interviews and 2 appointments. I figure I've got an hour before I have to start getting ready, and then you may not see me for the rest of the day.

Good morning all.....it's raining here this morning which only emphasizes how I feel this morning. I went to take my daughter to school and found that someone broke into my car last night......stereo is gone, cds gone, whatever change I had in the console gone, glove compartment trashed. There are pry marks on the edge of the door (actually dents) and scratches running down the driver side window.....still not sure how the person got in but it must have taken a while. My daughter's car was also broke into......her stereo is also missing along with cds.....same type of marks on her car too. Anyway, I called the police; they said it will take them a few hours to come out....in the meantime I'll be late for work this morning....called in and told them I'm waiting for the police to show up so I can file a report for my insurance. I'm not a happy camper this morning. cry

Until I had to get full coverage, I always just got the minimum. But now, since having to actually use it, I'm sticking to the full coverage, if only for peace of mind.

Thanks guys!! It just ticks me off that nowdays you can't have anything without someone stealing it. Both stereos will probably be at a pawn shop in a couple of months....no doubt sold for less than half of what I paid for mine. Wish I could catch who did it......I'd kick their butt up and down the block for days, haha.

Its not so bad here, but when we lived in Lincoln, it was that way. It almost seemed like if you lost something, it was looked at as your fault for not securing it better. It is surprising what some people will steal.

Awwww, thanks Woo, but that may not be necessary.....most of what was taken is backed up on my computer.......I think I only had three new cds that I hadn't gotten around to loading up yet. But I don't intend on saying anything about my backed up music files because I have a feeling my stereo isn't going to be covered under my car insurance......got my policy out and was looking at it...there's a clause about stereos, cb radios, satellite radios, that kind of thing....I don't think I paid the extra to take the additional coverage. So I'm pretty sure I'll have to eat the loss on it and pay for a new one out of my pocket. The cds are covered however....really strange but that's how it works.
Anyway, I gotta go right now....the men in blue just pulled into my driveway. Thanks for your offer though Woo.....I appreciate it!!! smile

GD, sorry to hear about your cars. That stuff gets me so mad I can't stand it. Makes me want to wait outside with a baseball bat for the next punks that come along looking to take something I worked hard for.

Unfortunately it's also why I really decided a while ago I have no interest in pimping out my cars. Factory Stereo, nothing fancy on the inside that can't be taken with me. Usually I don't even lock my doors. I'd rather they get in there and see there's nothing to take rather than break a window and make me have to deal with that.

About ten years ago my plan actually worked. I walked out to the car one morning and found it with the door open! Nothing taken, just sitting on my parking space with the driver side door open about a foot.

Glad to hear you were still fully insured, hopefully it won't cost you too much.

Ok, rainy and cool here again. I'm off in a bit to buy todays Brewer medallian. E'body have a good morning!

I did make a sports bet in Las Vegas with $25 on the Red Sox to win the American League Pennant! I gave the $$ to a co-worker who went out a month ago! If they win I get $75!

It's really coming together for us now.

It's still early, so we have to stay calm. We've seen this team start hot and fade fast before.

But we've got real talent on this club. For the first time since the 80's we have ownership that says they will spend money before the trading deadline if there's someone out there that can put us over the top.

Beyond that, our best power hitter is actually at AAA ready to come up by the all-star break and take over third base (the only position we're not strong in) and we have an absolute Phenom pitcher who strikes out 1.5 hitters per inning knocking on the door from AAA too.

We've never been in a better situation.

Did you buy Ortiz's biography yet?
