well I lost internet yesterday afternoon while at work. That is why I disappeared. The Red Wings lost last night. cry

But we are not out yet.
Today is not starting out too well. I woke up with a splitting headache and am miserable. I don't even think I will be listening to the music at this point. It is playing though, just don't feel like wearing headphones.
Today I am wearing the sandals that my supervisor approved. We will see if it causes any drama.

I gets to go the The Brewers game tonight vs The Twinkies! We split the series against the Phillies, I think this is the most excited I've been to see a Brewers game since the opening of the new ballpark, and then before that the playoffs in 1982!!!

Happy Friday all!! We're heading up to our cottage later today to open it up for the summer. With all the rain we've had lately we'll probably spend a good portion of the day tomorrow mowing the grass.....I'm expecting it to look like a hay field when we get there. cry

Happy Friday everyone! Another day in the "infirmary" - everyone around me is sick! I'm so glad I am somewhat isolated from the crew today, except for the pizza party at lunch. Nothing special going on this weekend, just another busy one! But it is always fun and rejuvenating, so I am looking forward to some work-free days. smile

Ugh.

My wife just called. She is pretty upset.

A few years ago the bank she was working at got bought and merged into a bigger bank. The merger was horrible and terribly stressful. It took about a full year to get to some level of "normal".

First thing this morning, she got word that this bank has now been sold. The only good news is that it was bought by another financial company but its not a merger. That means that there will not be a name change and the systems and procedures should remain quite similar.

But, as she says, it was all sugar coated last time and turned out to be quite bitter. Hopefully this one will not be a big deal.

Sorry bout the head Woo. I've has a funny head this past couple of days....not a headache as such more shooting pains in one side of the head...but I feel a bit eye strainy too as if i suddenly change distance that I am looking at , it's like my eye pulls a thread in my head and it hurts sniff...Maybe i should get my eyes tested...

So glad it's Friday. Mark has just left with the kids to take them to their dad's on the train...(I am so blessed that we can all be civil!) and I'm sitting munching pink wafers It's 5.05pm here and Sunny!!

i think it has been a couple of years...i keep hoping to see them at work...they do give us free eye tests...but you never know when the eye people are coming - I must look into it.
It may be tiredness though...?... As long as it's othing serious , I'll get by

Yes, Pip, her job should be safe. This company is basically just buying the entire bank. They say they are going to keep everything as is . . . but who knows what they may do in the future.

I'm not sure it was such a good idea though. She must have been mad about me spending money becuase she started to cry. Then, she jumped up and started squeezing me . . . I think she was trying to suffocate me so she could claim on the life insurance.

I was barely able to get away.

Darn women, I'll just never figure them out.

Glad I could be of assistance!! Now if you have a bruised ribcage, don't go blaming me!!

I'm sure she loves them deep down, even though she's thinking about the money. And now she has bragging rights all day in the office when people walk by and ask her where the flowers came from. They'll probably think you did something wrong...LOL
