I was talking to a friend a week ago who said this would be a really cool idea. This is only what I physically own on CD. I have stuff on vinyl, mp3 and (dare I even say) cassette that's not represented here. Every day, I will post 10 at a time, I physically own about 230-240 or so cd's, so almost a month to complete (I started rebuilding my physical collection a year or so back)

Until about three years ago I had a collection of almost 5,000 CD's. I was so proud of that collection.
But my house was starting to look more like a warehouse than a home. The collection was pretty much uninsurable (I was surprised how difficult it was to find a company willing to insure a CD collection, particularly the hard to find out of print ones), and I was worried I was wasting too much money ($200 - $400 trips to the used store were ocurring on week or two week basis).
I converted em' all to MP3, and in my mind I know that's fine for me. It's easier to access, I have all the music I love, I have more space, etc. etc. etc.
But I still miss them so If I ever start making more money than I can spend again I might work to rebuild the collection.
Meanwhile, what's your collection at now LS? About 20,000?
Ha! I don't really know - a few thousand, for sure. (Not to mention the records...) I think I have about 5 MP3s that I've saved. (Songs only available for download.)

you should be ecstatic to the know that a remastered deluxe edition of that very album is coming out later this summer, haha. I'm sure you're just dying to hear O Superman remastered with 2007 technology as the original CD version was pressed in the 80's.

yea, I'll be the first to admit my collection is probably 60/40 in favor of females, but I have a number of male artists I own tons of material from coming up soon, just early on, I have artists like Bjork and Tori that I am really devout towards and prefer the studio albums moreso than a hits compilation. There'll be plenty of dudes coming up in the next few letters, just watch ;)
