Yeah, except that weekdays are easier than the weekend on being alone- at least I have 8 hours of work to keep me preoccupied.

I hope JD is gonna do a show this weekend- I might have some requests for him!

YAY IT'S FRIDAY! That means that the inspection will end today. Things can go back to normal. smile

The bad thing is that I have to work late and may have to work tomorrow to get things caught up. I will only work Sat if absolutely necessary. My husband has to help out on his lawn crews to try and catch them up from the holiday too. They also had equipment break down this week.

i am still happy it's Friday though. This means that my hubby will have one less thing to stress over. Then he can focus on addressing the family trouble and we can all move on.

Howdy Folks,

I've got a hacking, snotty nosed kid this morning. It looks like at least for a while, I'll be working from home. He really is congested, but I think he's playing it up for every bet he can too.

So, for now, we're comfy and watching Dora. I really don't like Dora. Its a good kids show, but her voice is like fingers on a chalkboard after a couple minutes.

Morning all !!  Finally Friday......these 4 day work weeks seem to drag by.

We have a bit of a problem here at my house this morning.  My daughter's best friend didn't get home from graduation activities last night.....her mom and dad were here at 7:00 this morning looking for her.  I woke my daughter up to find out exactly where they went last night after they left our house.  My daughter went with a group of kids out to the bowling alley....they all went home after.  Her best friend left the bowling alley with her boyfriend and no one's seen or heard from them since.  We've been calling around, went to the boyfriend's house, he hasn't been home either.  No one knows where these two kids are.  Her parents are frantic right now and really upset with their daughter.  My daughter's out right now checking all the places they usually hang out at to see if she can find her.  It's not like my daughter's friend to do something like this.  I hope they're both ok.

Sorry to hear that Ghost! It could be just a totally innocent thing where they fell asleep watching the blue moon?

I am really tired today and hope it will be slow. Also I am wearing a pollo shirt and khakis so life isn't so bad today!

I know Darlene.....I can only imagine how her parents feel right now.  It's very bothersome because we're talking about two good kids here....they don't drink or do drugs, always let their parents know where they are, have no reason to lie about their activities, and have never done something like this before.  My daughter was really upset to hear that her friend didn't get home last night.

Sorry Ruby,

But honestly, the ONLY thing that kept me going through all those horrible years as a Brewers fan was watching the Cubs lose.  Steve Bartman is my hero biggrin.gif

To be honest, it's not entirely hate-based.  I grew up watching the Cubbies lose and loved them as a kid.  I like their "loser" tag, it's comforting.  I don't want them to become just another baseball team.  The lovable loser tag is reassuring.

But also, I just love watching a team play in a big market like Chicago.  It never ceases to amaze me.

The Cubs win three straight and all the papers are saying "World Series here we come".  They lost three straight and the papers are saying "Worst team in the history of sports.  Everyone must be fired and traded".

FICKLE beyond belief.  They don't deserve a winner no.gif

I honestly have no idea why a player would ever want to play in a major market and live under the unrelenting scrutiny.

Oh yeah I do.

Which is another beauty of big markets.  They overpay players and then wonder why they don't live up to their expectations.  no.gif
