Cubs "ace" (snicker snicker) Carlos Zambrano gives up five runs in the fifth inning allowing Atlanta to take a 7 - 1 lead.

Then he goes into the dugout after the game and get's into a physical altercation with catcher Michael Barrett.

Wow, it was worse than expected!

In the clubhouse Zambrano beat on Barret some more and sent him to the hospital weirdface.gif

During the game I thought it was a mistake for Pinella to take them BOTH out of the game and send them into the clubhouse.  I would have kept Barrett in the game just to keep the two seperated.

But then Pinella's quotes make it sound like he's po'd at Barrett for his errors as well.  Maybe he wanted Zambrano to put the beat down on him!

Ah, Barret wasn't taken out until after he walked into the clubhouse between innings and got it all started again.
