I had an awesome weekend.  I even have a light sunburn that I'm hoping will turn into a tan by the end of the day.  But now I'm tired.  I wish I would've bought a bigger coffee.

Hello all! I feel so cut off from the world since we have no phone, cable or internet at home since Saturday! Then today we lost our radio station! We wake up to the radio and the last time the snooze went off there was no radio. We got in the car and the station wasn't there either! Are we being punished?! weirdface

I have payroll to do but once again the server is not acting right so I must wait for them to fix the problem.

Work sure isn't what they said it would be. My parents always made it seem so important and stuff... I think I would be okay if I didn't HAVE to work.
Maybe I have a rich uncle I don't know about. He'll leave me a pile of money. That's a good plan.

JD, missed the show. Hangin' with the kid and all. We were checking out some albums he just got. Arcade Fire and AFI stuff. Then, we checked out some Porcupine Tree. PT is sort of dark stuff. They remind me of A Perfect Circle.

present...  rain all weekend... rain today... rain rain go away...

father's day was nice.  had the in-laws over.  made green chile chicken enchiladas, zucchini w/corn & tomatos, tex mex rice, sandia strawberry dream pie (i will put that one in the easy recipes when i locate the thread!) and peach cobbler...

i owe, owe...  so back to work i go...

it's ok just the being cut off from the world is driving me crazy! My husband said that he was gonna pitch a fit if we did not have all our Comcast stuf back up today (phone, cable, internet). I am not sure I have ever heard my house so quiet. Then we were just did tired from the heat and stress once we got our power back.

I know what you mean. We had a really bad ice storm here a couple years back and all power was off for about two weeks. That was the closest to a nervous breakdown that I have ever been.

Mornin'

It looks like we had a little shower over night. I'm surprised I didn't hear it because I didn't sleep well.

The boy has a ball game tonight. Mrs Web is leaving for Lincoln today for some work training. She will be back Wednesday night.

Last night, after supper, the boy decided that every June 30th from now on will be "Kid's Day". Since we have Mother's Day and Father's Day, he decided that it wasnt fair we don't have Kid's Day. I tried to convince him that every day was kid's day, but he wouldn't buy it.

I've got some stuff going on on my legs. I think I got into something one day I had shorts on. Its been bugging me for a week. It acts like poision ivy.

Monday on.

Web, the boy sounds EXACTLY like me as a child!

I think I told this story before, but I badgered my folks into a kids day.  I think it was in late June as well!  (I bet it was a reaction to Mothers and Fathers Day)

Like the poor boy, I got the old "Everyday is kids day" line, but eventually they relented.  We had a great day.  Me and my cousin got to go someplace of our choosing.  We got gifts, ate at McDonalds, it was GREAT!

The VERY next year I brought up kids day and they told me I was too old for kids day hmm.gif

So, you might want to pull that one on the boy.  No kid ever wants to admit that they're still a kid, so it works!

Oooooooooh, I almost forgot.  Today is the start of the summer schedule for the cleaning account I still have.

That means every night all summer I'll be out cleaning classrooms hmm.gif

Kinda sucks.  Ruby & FireFly get the summer off and I have to go to work for those three months.

Any work on the weekend sucks. Even volunteer work. Well, it sucks r & r time.
My wife and I worked 3 hours at the Art Fesitval over the weekend. Awesome show. Crazy crowd. All languages at the gate! We were taking tickets. Russians, Asians, Greek whatever. Smile and take their money, give them a ticket, smile again.
