Oh I couldn't disagree more. I don't think cashews are anything close to a peanut. The cashew has much more of a distinctive flavor.

Tell your sister I think she's nuts. Don't forget! Maybe you should call her now just in case you forget later.

I only get to eat peanuts hmm.gif the rest of them make my throat and tongue swell up and then I talk funny.

I don't really have a favorite nut since I like almost all of them.  Almonds and pistachios are usually the ones I buy most often, but I spring for Macadamias every now and then too.  Cashews, dry roasted peanuts, and walnuts are favorites of mine too.  About the only nuts I'm not too fond of are those spanish peanuts....the ones with the red skins on them; never really cared for those.

I love cashews and macadamias...as long as they are not baked into ANYTHING EVER. I like them raw, but hate all nuts cooked. I know I'm weird

I love most of em' too. Except those ones that look like roaches bleh.gif

I agree with Suzie though, I don't like em' baked into ANYTHING. Don't put em' in my bread, or my cookies or my brownies or anything else. I got no way of knowing for sure if that's a nut or a piece of your fingernail I just bit down on! bleh.gif

I think my issue might be a texture thing...if i'm eating something soft, something biting into something crunchy gives me the heebie jeebies.

Hehehehe... they tell me that around here every day. It's okay. The list of people I have to bake cookies for around the holidays is already insane. I just don't have to make them for the entire FFR community now. smile.gif

My favorite nuts...philbert.  Always had em in the house for the holidays as a kid.  So besides being good...a sentimental favorite as well.

I spend a week (no exaggeration) making Thanksgiving dinner. At least 2 days of that is baking cookies. I made the mistake of bringing some to the office for some friends one year... the legend grew rapidly. Round about Halloween, I start getting phone calls, e-mails, and texts from people wanting to confirm their place in my heart and therefore on the cookie distro list. My friend Doug has such a "cookie on my back" problem that he will call me the morning of the first day of my vacation to find out if I'm baking YET. Has been known to show up on my doorstep, beating on the door like a mad man yelling "COOKIE! COOKIE!!"
