I know it's early in the season, but I don't think there's been a more important series for the Milwaukee Brewers in 20 years!
Today we play the Cubbies in Wrigley. We've won 10 of 12, they've won six straight. We hold a 7.5 game lead in the standings.
If God forbid we were to be swept then the national media would say we're pretenders instead of contenders and the Cubs would be only 4.5 game out of first place.
If through some miracle we swept the series we'd be seen as being "for real" by the national media and we'd leave chicago with the Cubs buried 10.5 games deep in the division.
More than likely we'll go 1-2 or 2-1. Either of those would be acceptable because it would make almost no difference in the standings.
Everyone but Ruby PLEASE send your positive vibes for the Brewers to Chicago!
