Morning everyone!  Looks like it's going to be another nice day here.

What's everyone got planned to do over the Fourth?  I'm going to a friend's for a BBQ and some drinks, then heading down to the river later to watch the fireworks.  smile

Howdy folks,

Yesterday, I returned the fan I got last week. I got a different model this time and this one is better. All the parts were in the box, and it doesn't try to shake itself to pieces when it runs.

We are going to bar-b-que some ribs for supper on the 4th. We have a friend coming to join us, then later, my dad, his wife, and my brother's family will come to town to watch the city fireworks. After the city display, we'll go back to our house and shoot off the few that we will have. The boy is very excited about the 4th.

Hopefully today will be pretty calm. I have a bunch of billing to get done.

Carry on.

Good morning everyone! Well, I was up ALL night with a sick child. I have yet to go to bed. yawn One of the many pleasures of parenthood. I am having lunch with a friend today and I have to get the oil changed in my car. I hope to be able to slip a nap into the day somehow.

We dealt with that the weekend before last. Then I was sick again early Sunday but it's hard to say if the wine didn't contribute to that. (I was at a party)

But I think my body just wasn't ready for a party like that yet. Still recooperating.

Good morning all!

A Beautiful day here in Milwaukee!  clap.gif  I hope everyone has a great day!

JD, you're car is starting to sound like my last new car, the Purple Sunbird.  The first 15,000 miles it spent almost THREE MONTHS in the shop!  It was crazy.

It was past the lemon law stage, so I had to deal with it.  I couldn't trade it in because they wouldn't give me crap for it since they knew it wasn't running right.  There were times I went two weeks or longer without it because they couldn't figure out what was causing the problem.

I think that's when I decided no more new cars.  Unless I fall into a boatload of money, I'm a certified used  car guy now.  No huge depreciation loss after you buy it and in reality they can be just as dependable as a new car.  Plus you save a TON on insurance.

Oh, I also refuse to EVER deal with Ernie Von Schledorn again because I found that during the entire time they were trying to get my car to run they never really seemed to A) Give a damn or B) move quickly.

Just a note, my car was NEVER right, it had the same problems the entire 140,000 miles i got out of it, so if you are still under the lemon-law guidelines I'd definately act on it!

Wise decision Riggsy. Ernie Von Rip-Off is a real bastage, to be sure. bleh  It's a thinkly disguised viper pit in that dealership. My sis worked there years ago and she would tell me the worst stories about how they treated customers and how they demeaned and harassed women. I wouldn't even grace their parking lot with my presence. For that matter, I wouldn't let my dog take a poo on that property - that is, if I had a dog! laughing.gif

You have no idea how close I was to standing on the curb with a sandwich board no.gif

That place did absolutely NOTHING for me and they had my NEW car in the shop the better part of six months.

I mean LITERALLY, they had the car more than I did the first six months!
