We're doing the family thing later.  MY husband & son went & bought about $150 worth of fireworks...so that's a nice waste. 

I don't like fireworks....can ya tell?  I like the big displays that the cities do...but the little ones?  I stay in the house.  It's safer there.  hmm

Man, I love fireworks! We saw the big ones last night, then came home and lit some little ones off with the neighbor. It was fun! Today, I don't think we're doing much of anything.

My step father's uncle passed away at age 91 last month. He used to tell stories about WWII. He fought in Africa.
I thank those guys.

Beauty day so far. I will be pulling the Olds out for a trip down the parkway. I've got guests coming over at four. We plan to go to Mt. Mary College's property to fly kites.
Then, BBQ!!!

JD, I'd like to barby with you in the grillin' grove some time before the season is thru.

Just came back from a BBQ. It started to rain, and it turned into a Cookin, instead of a cookout. I just came home to an empty house. Just me and Rex!

No fireworks either tonight, rescheduled until tomorrow night, because of the rain. hmm.gif

The Boston Pops are still on from what I hear, but I am not a 100% sure.

Our friend is here . . . the gals are a chatt'n.

I'll be putting the ribs on the grill soon.

Then, my brother is bringing home made ice cream to my grandmothers.

Then, we'll all go to the city fireworks display.

Then, we'll come home and shoot off our own fireworks.

I have never seen so many fireworks in my life as I have tonight. Our neighbors have put on a better show than any professional show I have ever seen. I am talking Mt Rushmore, city displays, and yes even Disneyland.
