For me, it depends on the type of clown.  I don't mind rodeo clowns, or bum-like clowns.  But Bozo type clowns freak me out.

Yeah, circus clowns are the ones that freak me out!  But it has nothing to do with IT, I didn't like clowns before I saw that movie.

They all do, there is not one picture of a clown that I think is funny, or I would be okay with!! My mother painted a paint by number of the hobo type clown you have up there, Mz, when I was a kid of two clowns, and then hung them up. (Trailer I know, but she did a nice job) Maybe that is why I hate them so much, they were staring at me from the walls all my childhood!!

All clowns are creepy. John Wayne Gacy was a clown. Clowns + serial killer = disturbing.

I like clowns and never had a fear of them.   Their antics always make me laugh or smile, and I enjoy seeing all the different costumes they wear.  

My youngest daughter is afraid of clowns though.  When we'd go to the circus, she'd start to cry if a clown got too close to her; she told me their eyes and mouths scared her.

I'm not fond of "clowning around" comedy. The Three Stooges were fun when I was a kid. Now, it's hard to imagine someone making a living doing that. Clowns at parades, unless they have candy, stay away from me!bleh

The concensus is that no one really LIKES clowns! So why don't we just do away with them all together! Make it illegal to dress like one etc.......
