If this is indeed good-bye....

I would want to thank anyone who has ever tuned into my shows, sent in songs, gifts, cards, enjoyed their Sunday nights with me providing the the music. I have  made some wonderful friends here, and Freeze Frame Radio, with all of you here,  has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life.

Even if this is the station's goodbye, will the forum go away too?

NO Mz,

The forum is a seperate thing.

I imagine eventually it would fade away, but only as each of us move on to other things.

For the time being it would be fine.

Actually Darlene,

If the RIAA does indeed silence Freeze-Frame Radio, part of the original deal I made to get the station on the air was that if we ever went off the air for any reason they could terminate JD as well hmm.gif

So, this might really be the real end for our friend the Jazz Doctor.

But he'll still be here on the Forum, it'll take more than the RIAA to get rid of JD

Interesting choice of words, Riggs...he's going to be terminated?

Oh that's terrible Riggs! JD, we will all make sure you get a proper memorial in the Hmong homeland then.

I think it was the Hmong music that finally convinced me to agree to the deal with them evileye.gif

I held out and protected my friend until they reminded me about the Hmong music and the African Leaf Carrying song hmm.gif

It will definitely push stuff underground. I remember Ron Regan's Christian battle against Heavy Metal/Satanic Music (not much difference, I guess) All the stations stopped playing that evil music... several years later, some of the most evil music arrived on cd. A whole new subculture was created.
We'll just have to use somebody else's forum!!!biggrin.gif

This is if the RIAA forces Freeze Frame, and other internet broadcasters off the air. Big government vote on the issue coming in the US Senate on July 15.
