RE: To those who chatted last night

Imagine Sunday, seven days a week Woo!

It's heaven!

Even when I was working for the man I took a shift that started at 11 so I wouldn't have to set an alarm clock.

Other than special events, I haven't used an alarm clock in about ten years.

Much nicer waking up naturally than to some blaring radio or beeping alarm clock bleh

well I currently don't like Sundays because that means the next day is Monday. So I guess it would be Saturday for me. I have a nice alarm clock that the volume goes up gradually, but I still don't like it going off.

That is a nice alarm clock!  I didn't know they had that feature available.

I see a nap in my future too hmm.gif   It's cool and overcast.  Good nappin' weather.

it's a magnavox. I got it when I was single and didn't penny pinch so much. It also has a weekend sleeper so it is always set but doesn't go off on the weekend and it has a dual alarm which has come in handy now that I am not single. But alarms still suck!

Now I have to get up earlier than I'd like on a Saturday because I finally made my eye appointment and it is at 11am. They no longer have late enough appts during the week for me. I could have tried for 5pm Thurs but I doubt I would have made it. hmm

yeah for a alarm clock it is pretty sweet. I think it was $60 or $70 bucks. I wanted it because I wanted to be able to wake up to a CD. Ironically it is a feature I never use. I got tired of waking up to the same song since I don't let it play too long. But I do use it just as a cd player once in awhile.

Yeah, those Tylenol PM's knocked me out, but I slept well. smile.gif

We had to get a new alarm clock a few months ago. It was cheap but it has dual alarms and it does the gradual wake up thing too. That is sooo nice to wake up gentle.

it works good now that we're used to it. My wife has her side set to wake to radio and mine is set to the gradual increasing beep. Now I don't even hear hers on week days and she don't hear mine on Sundays.

The only problem with it was that the radio was too loud. As you turn it down, it would go from too loud to nothing. I broke it open and hacked it so the volume control works like it should and its been great since.

I wake up to annoying talk radio. It annoys me so much that I  MUST wake up and make them shut up ASAP. annoyance is effective.smile
