We all have someone that intimidates the crap out of us. I am interested in knowing who intimidates us the most. It can be friend, spouse, boss, etc.

Authority figures intimidate me. I talked with a friend last night and told him that he completely intimidated me in the beginning and he seemed shocked. My boss at work can be really fun, but when it is work time she is all business. I respect that from her.smile

I have people that I am not comfortable around but not so much intimidated. I don't like being around the big boss because I know that she acts before thinking things through and has no concept on what it takes to get something done. She usually only gives me extra things to do when she sees me. I try to avoid.

My sister's boyfriend I just don't get so I am uncomfortable. I also have a short history with his brother (not my most shining moment) and that may play into it as well.

I guess police officers intimidate me. I never know what kind I am gonna get. Is this one gonna be reasonable or an a-hole?

My stepfather. He's a very intimidating person, and he has some anger management issues.

Hmm, the late Dale Earnhart comes to mind. smile.gif

And cops. Cops intimindate the hell out of me and I have no idea why.  I tense up anytime I pass one, even though I've done nothing wrong.

Maybe it just makes me nervous to know they have the power to take my freedom away.  Even if  you haven't done anything, they could say you did and you could wind up spending a few nights in the clink.

In my younger days there were probably a lot of people that intimidated me at one time or another.  Not so much anymore.

I can't say that there is someone specific who intimidates me. Like Woo, police officers sometimes seem daunting if they have a big authoritarian attitude. Other than that, I'd say the only people who give me pause are aggressors regarding religion or concepts of patriotism. When people get vehemently pushy, I tend to revert to quiet defense.

I have found that with police, that if you try to put them at ease, they are often thankful for that and are more agreeable. Also remember that nothing is more powerful than the truth. smile

The boss that used to be here definitely intimidated me. And he ticked me off because he would call me "Trace" I hate that! The only people I let get away with that is family and close friends, but I still don't like it. And because of who it was I wouldn't say anything.


I have had doctors or others in the field intimidate me. Ask you all them questions and then judge you no.gif

My current regular doctor isn't like that, but I usually see the NP.

Cops definately don't intimidate me...but maybe because M-F 8 am - 4pm I'm surrounded by their presence!!!
