Riggs, Journey was without Perry last Summer, The new guy Steve Augeri looked so out of place and he kept going back stage about 3/4 of the way through a song. The Roadies came out before the band did and did 4 songs, They were awesome!

Probably my all-time favorite concert was the very first one I went to - Hall & Oates on the Big Bam Boom tour in 1984. They were at the height of their popularity and their band rivaled the E-Street band for talent and chemistry imo.(At that time they had Mickey Curry on drums who later worked with Bryan Adams, G.E. Smith on lead guitar who went on to be bandleader on SNL, T-Bone Wolk on bass who is still with them, and Charlie DeChant on the sax who also is still with them).
Here is my top 10 list of concerts I have attended:
1) Hall & Oates as mentioned above.
2) Springsteen on the Tunnel of Love Tour
3) Chicago on the Chicago 17 tour (their last with Cetera)
4) The Eagles on the Hell Freezes Over tour
5) Huey Lewis & The News on the Small World tour(they had no opening act, had the Tower of Power horns backing them and played for almost 3 hours.
6) Heart on the Bad Animals tour(had 3rd row seats - Nancy Wilson looked very good from there!)
7) Steve Winwood on the Roll With It Tour(saw him here in Nashville where he lives part of the year and where his wife grew up - he seemed especially jazzed to be playing in his adopted hometown)
8)Loverboy with The Hooters when both bands were at their most popular in the mid 80s.
9)Don Henley on the Inside Job tour(thankfully he kept his mouth shut when it came to his political views!)
10)Amy Grant on the Heart in Motion tour in the early 90s.
You pretty much just typed out my dream ticket tour!
I saw Huey right after the release of BACK TO THE FUTURE, and he had the tower of power with him then too. That was an excellent show. I saw him again in '01, for his most recent album PLAN B. He was still good.
Other than that though I've really only gone to see a few other artists, mostly Meatloaf (4x), Tim McGraw (3x), Faith Hill (1x).
I WOULD LOVE to have seen Heart, The Hooters, Hall & Oates and Chicago back in the 80's.
I have had the opportunity to enjoy many concerts. The best one was Frank Sinatra. He stayed at the hotel I was working at, and I was in awe of the Chairman.
Don't Laugh but also loved Manhattan Transfer,Bette Midler, Cher, and believe it or not, Backstreet Boys. I took my kids to that one and found out they were not so bad.
One of the most disappointing was Neil Diamond and Sting. Annie Lennox was great.
I think the best concert I attended was one that was FREE !!!! It was a a tribute to Bill Grahm after he died in a plane crash. It was held at Golden Gate park in San Francisco. Over 150,000 People showed up. I can't remember everyone who played. But here is a list of who I do remember.
Greatful Dead..
Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young..... was first time in like 15 years or more that Neil Young performed with them.
Creedance Clearwater Revival..
Bob Dylan..
Jefferson Airplane/Starship..
Huey Lewis and the News..
George Carlin..
Wavey Gravy..
Bill Walton... Former BasketBall great and big time Dead Head.
Over 8 hours of good music, drinkin' and other un-mentionable activites. Maybe that's why I can't seem to remember all the bands that played that day? At one point a huge B-52 Bomber flew over and dropped thousands of flowers onto the crowd. Not only was this the best concert I have ever seen but it ranks up in the top 5 of the best times of my life.
Most of the concerts that I went to in high school were free. I loved it. I won tickets to a lot of concerts on the radio. I was always winning stuff and they didn't have the limits now where you can only win so many times in 30 days. I took advantage of that. I won tickets to Poison/David Lee Roth (Poison rocked, but Dave got really mad when half the audience left after Poison performed), Huey Lewis and the News, Cinderella (didn't get to go to that one because my dad decided seeing my grandparents was more important that weekend. I was SOOO mad at the time.), there were a few others, but most of the concerts I went to were with tickets I won off the radio. On a more recent note - before I switched over to freezeframe, I won tickets to see The Wiggles! My daughter was in heaven and my 10 year old begged me to NOT make him go. It was fun. I love the Wiggles. Does that make me sad, or what?
