First, let me say that I am not a woman who thinks beauty is defined by mainstream beauty magazines or anything in the entertainment industry, for that matter. I think a woman's sense of sexiness is defined by her own concept of self and that her beauty is her own to celebrate - and by that, I mean her beauty inside and out. However, I saw something this weekend that SHOULD NOT BE SEEN and thought I would share my horror to see your reactions and hopefully purge my memory of this sight.
I sat down for a lovely evening meal at a local restaurant, enjoying the summer sky through the window and engaging in good conversation, when I saw an older couple approaching the restaurant across the parking lot. The woman walked brisquely while in conversation when I saw her up close, halting my ability to speak entirely.
She wore a silky teal halter top with a front that draped so low in front it hinted at a view of her navel. Her bobbing walk bounced her blouse open to reveal a breast well-ravaged by gravity and clearly demonstrating its vehemently less than perky demeanor. I couldn't believe my eyes! Did she realize she was showing that she had two flat tires? Wasn't she aware that the combined choice of tasteless garb and the complete absence of a bra clearly showed her six-shooters were pointing southeast and southwest?
I couldn't prevent myself from wincing and exclaiming in disgust. I thought she would have been better off tucking her breasts into the waistband of her slacks to prevent another reveal and since she was clearly at risk of pinching them in there anyway. I thought how foolish it was - to dress like Paris Hilton for the sake of fashion, even though Paris is often criticized for the folley of her tramp-wear. What possesses someone to leave nothing to the imagination? Maybe that's prudish and overly American of me, but I think clothes should flatter your features and don't need to show all your bits in the same token. My final thought - if you want to show off the girls that way, go hang at a nude beach!
OK, my rant is done...thanks for hearing me out!
