Yeah, that was a really great album, and the zipper did actually work!  Way cool cover design in my opinion.  I still have this on album, and the zipper still works!!

Yeah you should JD before he forgets and it becomes his album.  I lost some albums by loaning them out......I don't loan music anymore.  I make copies.smile

Oh by the way, I forgot, the Sgt. Pepper album....well it came with all these punch out things....glasses, mustaches, hair (I think), all kinds of cool stuff.  Anyway, I still have this on album too along with the punch outs.......I never punched any of the stuff out.  Someone told me recently that my album is worth some $$ cuz everything's intact.  I won't sell it though......I'm keeping it just because it had all this cool stuff inside of it.

I've heard the same thing about The White Album and the pictures that were in it!

I know what you mean on not getting stuff back. I have a ton of MOTS stuff- been buds for 22 yrs, and he has a ton of mine, and there are times when one of us will give or get a call "hey give me that cd....book....vhs tape already!!!!"biggrin

Yep, I had that album too.  But it's MIA......I loaned it to a friend, they loaned it to someone else, and I never got it back.  I've since replaced it on disc but I still wish I had the album.  cry  It's amazing how many actual albums I still have.....boxes and boxes of them.  I no longer give them a whirl on the turntable because I've replaced most of them on CD, but I still like to look at the album art and inserts that came with the albums.  smile

I don't have any one favorite, especially now that I can compile my own playlists with my iPod. I do favor a few, though, that are so important to me:

-- The Beatles: 1962-1966, 1967-1970, White Album
-- Aretha Franklin: Aretha's Gold
-- Otis Redding: Dreams to Remember - The Very Best of OR
-- Miles Davis: Kinda Blue
-- The Killers: Sam's Town
-- Ella Fitzgerald:The Best of the Verve Songbooks
--  Billie Holiday: Geatest Hits

OOOH. lotsa good stuff in there! smileKinda Blue, hey? that is THE primer album in jazz, perhaps the best introduction, but undeniably just brilliant first note to last!!!

Kinda Blue was the first jazz album I owned. I heard it on a very, very sad night and I wept at its beauty. It brought me peace, and for that it will always be a treasure of mine.

Yep, it sure will. Most of those CDs hold something special for me - they are like an inextricable piece of my being, and they sing of my soul. smile

I would have to say for me 311, Offspring's Smash, Dire Straights' brothers in arm, and Judas Priest's metal meltdown are my favorite cd's.
I have picked these as favorites cd's because these are the ones that I can put into my cd player and listen to the whole thing without feeling a need to skip any of the songs. all these cd are great "too lazy to skip to a better song" cd's. These cd's are what I would call "money" cd's, even though I don't necesarily think any have my top song picks on them.
I also picked these because they see the most play time of most of my collection.

When I need a little "gangsta rap" I will throw in some P. E., Ice Cube, M&M, and a little Rage.
soft would be Floyd, Floyd, Dire Straights, Moodey blues
Heavy - Union Underground, System of a down, 311, AC/DC
And when I just need ta hear stuff I like, I start disk jockeying my 5 cd changer 1 song at a time...

LOL!!!
