Good morning everyone, though I'm the only one here right now.  I have to take my youngest daughter out to her school to catch the bus for band camp in about an hour.  Oldest daughter will be at work all day so it's going to be a quiet day at my house today.  Now if I could just find somewhere to send my husband off for the day, I'd be all set.  biggrin

Morning Ghost and everyone that follows after me. ITs going to be a busy day as I will be at Dillards from 830 this morning till 10 pm tonight and its tax free weekend and our kids department did over 26000.00 yesterday. I envy your daughter  ghost, I LOVED band camp. Like this ione time at band camp with my clarinet..... lol I really did like it.

I have a pond behind my house that I use to hide the hubby Ghost! Enjoy your childless day.

We will venture out to start school clothes shopping. I will be on my trip the week before, so I thought we'd start early.

Morning all. Almost afternoon. Being childless this weekend, my mom and I went to the local coffeehouse for some jo and the best oatmeal ever. They put brown sugar, bananas, and craisins in it!! Tonight, I've rented Sandra Bullock's "Premonition" and having her over for dinner and a movie. Six weeks and counting until I can legally include a man in such weekend plans. YIPPEE!!!!

It's HOT HOT HOT and DRY DRY DRY here. We got a respite in July with some rain, but now the grass looks just like before. Dry and Brown. Makes me ready to move on to Fall. Hello FOOTBALL, sweaters, hot chocolate, and I was going to say beautful fall foliage, but I think somewhere in the back of my brain, I remember that you have to have good rain in the summertime, or the leaves are inclined to go straight to brown.

Good day all. I got a lot done today. Slept in, got a shower and shaved, headed out to Farmer's Market, Sahara Mart (international and organic grocery store), CVS and Kroger. I finally found the chilis at Sahara Mart that I needed to make ribs, so when I got home, I prepared the sauce for those. The ribs are now marinating in the fridge and will be ready to put in the oven in about 2 hours. Then I made the custard base for some peanut butter ice cream. Then I finally sat down and had some lunch and watched half of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I think I'm going to take it easy until supper. I'll probably make some mashed potatoes to go with the ribs, and I bought some lettuce for salad. And I have two wines in the fridge, a chardonnay and a soft red, I wonder which would go better with ribs...
