Postal Thievary Makes Me MAD!

angered.gif

I mailed something to someone recently and after SEVEN DAYS for first class mail delivery they received an EMPTY box that said "Received without contents".

I personally dropped this box, with three CD's in it, direclty into a US Mailbox outside the local post office.

Somewhere along the postal route someone STOLE MY CD'S!!! angered.gif

And what can you do about it?  Nuthin!  Sure, there's a report you can fill out online, but we all know those CD's are gone forever.

This really has me frustrated today.

I wouldn't even be so annoyed if it were damaged in shipping with some of the contents missing.  I've had stuff arrive like that, in a plastic bag with a sticker saying it was damaged in shipment.

But in this case they claim they received it with nothing in it!

That sucks!

I suspect that the $941.00 camera that was charged to my credit card is on Ebay right now as a "Brand new, sealed in the box digital SLR".

The more I think about that, the more furious I get about it too.

Stupid criminals! angered.gif

I just put my Popcorn machine on Craigs list.

No more than two hours after posting it I got an email from a guy out of state.

He LOVES the machine and wants it asap.  He'll send me a certified check and I can wait until it clears before he sends a shipping company to come pick it up from me.

Oldest scam in the book.  A worthless certified check that comes back six weeks later to bite me in the a** and meanwhile he's selling the machine on ebay.

Why the hell can't people get a frickin' real job and stop trying to rip others off?!?

They were, so it was only a dollar loss of about $6.00 plus shipping.

My frustration is more with the principle of the situation.

Apparantly you have to pay their protection money (aka insurance) if you want to avoid having postal employees steal your merchandise.

A) I'll have you know my Depends AND my panties arrived JUST FINE thank you!

B) I must not be as old as SG because the cheapest stamp I remember was 17 cents.

and C) There is no C. Just reread A & B and then BE NICE TO ME! angered.gif

I could NOT AGREE more JD!

I was just griping about postal insurance the other day to someone. I just don't get the concept behind charging me to deliver a package for me, but wanting to charge me more to make SURE they deliver it! It feels like you're dealing with the mob.

The example I used was going to my corner 7/11 and having the guy at the counter take my $1.40 to pour me a slurpee, but then he comes back and says "Oh sorry, the slurpee never made it back here to the counter. Too bad you didn't take the optional insurance!"

Perhaps we should START the class action lawsuit!

Gotta love those class action lawsuits. The lawyers pocket 30 million and every American that ever purchased postal insurance will get a voucher for 12 cents off their next stamp purchase hmm.gif
