Ticketmaster

I hate Ticketmaster.

I heard Sammy Hagar is playing in Indy in October again.  So out of curiousity, I looked up the price of tickets.

First of course, the good seats are $75.  The cheap seats are $37.50.  Putting the outrageous price of tickets aside, it doesn't end there.

The convenience charge is $9.15 per ticket.  What the heck is a convenience charge?  Do I have the option of getting the tickets the inconvenient way?

The order processing charge is $4.90.  In ordering these off of a website, what exactly are they processing?

The "TicketFast Delivery" charge is $2.50.  "TicketFast Delivery" is printing them from your own computer.  So, they're charging people for not doing anything?

And on top of all of that, now you can order your parking pass on Ticketmaster for $10.

That brings the grand total for two tickets to $110.70.

This is ridiculous.  I'm waiting for the bend-over-and-touch-your-toes charge.

We've seen Sammy a few times now, and have decided to save our money for someone we haven't seen before.

If it's a Live Nation promoted tour/event, I've found that sometimes linking through LiveNation.com, the fees are sometimes a bit less.....

The fee's for EVERYTHING are ridiculous nowadays!

I ordered TDS Metrocom phone service because my local phone company was costing me $28 a month for phone.

TDS claimed my monthly bill would be $21.99.  They neglect to tell you taxes and fees bring that total to $36 a month!  And by the time I found out I was locked in a two year contract!  THAT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!

I always loved my local phone company too.  The actual bill was like $18, but the taxes and fees made it $28.

One of the biggest fees was the Federal Universal Cost Recovery fee.  It was the only one they didn't list as an acronym, wonder why?  It certainly felt fitting!

Oooh oooh oooh!

And when I renew my registration on the car. If I mail it in there's a fee, if I do it online there's a fee, and EVEN if I drive to their office and get the new stickers there they have a "desk fee".

It's total BS! angered.gif

We went through that with Ticketmaster for our Keith Urban tickets. It was about the same for us . . . $110 for two tickets way up between two of the roof rafters.

Then, I got to thinking about it and looked up the capacity of the Omaha Qwest center. Concert capacity is 17,000. Each person had a ticket printed on one sheet of paper. That is 17,000 sheets of paper just for tickets to get into the place.

Concerts are not very "green".
