David Bowie to appear in Doctor Who?

'Evil alien abductor' in two-part special

David Bowie will appear as an "evil alien abductor" in a two-part Doctor Who special, the Sun reports.

Bowie, 60, has reportedly agreed to "cross swords" with the Time Lord after being approached by Who chiefs impressed with his 2006 outing as an inventor in The Prestige. There are no details of the storyline, apart from the suggestion that Bowie's character will get on the wrong side of the good Doctor by kidnapping writer Agatha Christie.

The singer's spokesman denied he was set to hit the small screen next year, but a Doctor Who insider said: "Bowie said he'd be interested as long as he's not subjected to hours of disfiguring make-up." ®

It's like two of my favorite things put together! (Though I haven't seen the new Dr. Who yet, but I love the old ones.) It's almost as good as Bowie and Muppets!

The old ones are campy, but that's some of the appeal. I suggest checking out some of the Tom Baker ones, he was the best doctor! But whatever you do, don't watch the old movie, it has almost nothing to do with Dr. Who and it's terrible! They even call him "Dr. Who" instead of "The Doctor."

The first Doctor I watched was Jon Pertwee...and I cried when he died at the end of a programme...and watched in amazement as his face (and body) morphed into a new Doctor, - Tom Baker...who I loved just as much...
Tom Baker makes me laugh

John Pertwee was my second favorite doctor. I also liked the one blond curly haired doctor that came after (but I'm not sure if it was right after) Tom Baker.
