Busy, busy day--prolly all week. But I'll be listening and requestin'!

Bees have been sprayed by exterminator and so far so good. We haven't seen any dead ones in the house either. Thursday the landlord is supposed to come back and seal off some holes.

Morning all! I am home with E- she has a horrible runny nose and low fever and swollen glands. Her normal. I am gonna clean out my closet and desk and bring the armoire in our bedroom and set the tv and some books in it. It is a job that has been calling for months. I started eating healthier last week and my energy is through the roof. Who would have thought beans, whole grains and veggies really do make you feel better. I dropped 7 pounds in 10 days! I was doing great for years but the last year I turned to carbs to deal with the boys and now I am unhappy with my figure and lack of energy. I have done a great deal of reading about proper nutrition and I am gonna give this new way of eating a try. I even had soymilk with my cereal this am. It tastes just fine!smile

Good for you Ruby! I've tried the soymilk thing, but I've never been able to get over the aftertaste that soy has. I've tried soy nuts in granola bars and such, but it all has that taste that I just don't like.

I did not notice? I have tried soy crisps- they are not bad and the new soy joy bars are not bad either. I got them free awhile ago.

It might be one of those things that not everyone tastes. I know lots of people who love soy, but I just don't like the taste of it.

I can do tofu if it's mixed in with something. But alone, I don't like the consistency. I don't notice the soy taste as much in tofu though.

Do you eat beans? I know I like chick peas in my salads and this weekend I heated some up with some salsa and that was great! Black beans and black eye pease are good too alone or mixed with soups or on a wrap. Looking for more good ones, but afraid to try. Oh I know I like lentils and lima beans too!

I like some beans. I love to make beans and rice with some mexican style seasonings in a pita with some cheese and lots of sour cream. (Yep, I take something healthy and totally destroy it.) I love chick peas, and I like black beans, but I'm not all that found of lima beans. I prefer beans mixed in with something than just alone.
