There was a Genesis or Phil Collins song back in the late 80's or so...And it featured this cute little dog running aound the set, he always seemed to be getting in trouble (I seem to remember at one point, he tries to pee on Phil or his equipment)
I loved that video & song...but my aging brain has totally forgotten what the song was...
Credit goes to Sherry here in My office, she remembered the title of that song, Something Happened on the Way to Heaven: by Phil Collins...man it was fun going through all of those songs trying to remember which one it was...I had like 5 people in my office racking thier brains on it...you could hear little snippits of Phil & Genesis throughout the office trying come up with that one.
Maybe we should start up a game here...tell us about a distictive Music video from the 80's, and we'll see if we can guess which one you are talking about.... could be fun
You know, I thought that might be the video but I just couldn't remember it for sure.
Most of the Phil Collins videos were kind of unmemorable. In fact, the only ones I really remember were because of how dull they were. Like "Take Me Home" and "Can't Hurry Love", really kind of boring.
Glad someone finally was able to solve the mystery for you though!
Man, I remember that Land of Confusion video. We were in Germany at the time and had very little access to music videos. There was an article in a German teen mag that they had made a puppet of Nick Rhodes and Simon Le Bon. As a faithful Duranie, I stayed up until midnight when the one video show that was available came on and recorded the video. For about two weeks I watched and rewatched the video trying to find them. I never did and was really mad. I finally had to let it go. They weren't there. Unless they mistook the Mick Jagger puppet as Nick Rhodes, he wasn't there.

It was basically a one-hit wonder group here in the U.S., although the video I'm talking about was their SECOND hit (much smaller in scale).
I'll probably make this too easy, but their FIRST and BIGGEST hit spawned a T-Shirt that is always shown in ANY retrospective on the 80's.
Awww, hell, I'll just spill it, it was Frankie Goes To Hollywood and their second single from Welcome To The Pleasuredome "Two Tribes".
I love the extended version of that song (it's called the "Annihalation Mix"), it has snippets of Reagan talking throughout it, and it's like a 9 minute warning about what to do in case of a nuclear attack.
"If your grandmother shouldst die while in the shelter, place her outside, but be sure to tag her for identification purposes later"
Man, I don't remember that video...though I'm sure I've seen it...& I know the song...though I keep thinking about Mad Max & Thunderdome...not Pleasuredome
