How do you guys feel about this one tho.....

A coworker is dating a man thats recently divorced, he had his wedding band tatooed on his finger as well as wearing a wedding band. (needless to say his wife left him) Now he is a single man that still has that symbol of his love to another woman out for the world to see.

If it were me...I would ask him to have it removed. What do you guys think? She is struggling with this.

Well, I know that having a tatoo removed is painful.  Also sometimes it's not possible to have one removed because of the color and/or the kind of ink that was used when it was put on......the black and red inks are extremely difficult to remove.

Myself, I don't think I'd ask him to have it removed.....it's a part of him, which tatoos inevitably are, and they always tell you before you get one that you need to consider it as being permanent.

If this really bothers her, she needs to ask herself why and on what level it bothers her......then decide if she wants to ask him to have it removed.  They could always cover it up by buying a wider band.  Then too, another tatoo artist could probably change the look of his tatoo.

O.K. AC.... here goes....

If he had it tatooed, he must have loved his ex..... LOVE IS POWERFULL.
If she cares about him, she should accept the tatoo as a part of him, he probably learned from his mistakes with his ex, making him a better person, or she might not have fallen for him in the first place.
If she questions his desire/commitment she should ask him if he will get a tatoo band for her, (just the willingness should be enough)
.....

Now, for the topic. When I was maried I never took my ring off. It was a part of me as well as a physical connection to her. I think the wedding band is cheaper looking because it is a finality to the dedication cerimony for a lifetime bond (in theory) it should only highlight the engagement ring, as that (asking for the commitment of a lifetime) is the most important moment in the relationship.
.....

I know this is a little scatterbrained, but....

I had ta give my buddy AC a little insight...

LOL!!!!!!

That's in interesting theory, Willy.
