No offense to people with acne, I myself have had bouts with it over the years. I pulled up to McDonalds this morning and the kid handing my food through the window had the worst acne covering his whole face. Open soar type. I understand he has to make a living just like the rest of us but shouldn't he be in the back. I felt bad for him but also watched him touch his face before grabbing my orange juice. I'm lost on this one because I feel like I am being an A**. What do you guys and gals think?

P.S. - Half the reason the kid has bad skin is because he's around all that McDonalds cooking! Grease-city. Let's hope he doesn't eat the crap as well!

it's hard not to get grossed out -- especially when they touch the sores.
how about when the cashier coughs into the hand that's holding your change! one time i said "that's okay. i don't want it". but it was chump change. another time i opened my bag and had him drop it in -- then i sprayed it with lysol when i got home. i'm really not that obsessive, but when it comes to stuff like that.....

I've seen people like that and I'm sorry, I don't think they should be handling food.
BUT, at least he was on the drive-thru where you were being handed closed containers. I prefer that over having him manning the grill or the fries or wrapping burgers, where one of those things can pop and wind up directly on your food.

I guess where I'm torn is, in a restaurant setting you are required to wear gloves if you cut your finger or put a dressing over a soar on your arm etc. This guy had the flaky open soars covering 99.8% of his face. And he does prepare the drinks. I just hoped a flake didn't fall in the oj!.
Like I said, I feel for the guy! I'm glad he is a working stiff not on welfare, but he should have had a mask or something on.

Well, there are two kinds of acne (in my mind). The first is the one almost all of us were affected by... the zit kind. My step brother was the kinda guy with facial hair etc by the time he was 10 years old. He had a bad case of zits. The other kind, my buddy had. He still has scars from it. The zit one grosses me out. Worse than acne... psoriasis (spelling?) JD, knows who I speak of. A nice enough person but, when she's serving food at our company parties... sort of freaks me out.
