Just got to Vegas about an hour ago! The room (at Platinum Hotel) is friggin phenomenal!!! 16th floor, patio facing the mountains, full kitchen, living room, whirlpool bath. gonna take a shower to get the plane grime (ever feel that way? I have "plane air" on me..) and go hit the strip!

its a lovely day here, actually warmer in milwaukee tho I hear! its beautiful. When I get back I will post some pics!

ok I best let the cat out of the bag.

Consuela, FFR's studio maid and I accidently got outselves pregnant with twins. I'm doing the noble thing- getting ****-faced off my *** and marrying her in Vegas. smile.gif

Ruby I am back home late monday night.smile.gif

so I needed a haircut. nothin supposedly within walking distance, except for casino stylists, who want $80-120!! bah. I just got back from about a mile walk. this all spanish speaking place cut my hair just fine for $12. its next to an indian resturaunt that features topless dancing! HA!smile.gif

no I did not go in. evileye.gif headin back out to find some lunch at this place called Ellis Island. not far from here. I guess for $4.95 you get a 10 oz steak, potato, bread and green beans. we'll see how it is.smile.gif

3 pm here. 3 beers.smile.gif

it turns out Ellis Island is right around the corner from here. its too funny- its like a greek family greasy spoon restaurant with a small casino inside of it, and a pizza pit. they are understaffed.

So it turns out the $4.95 deal is actually $6 now. maybe its cheaper later on. but thats alright. even tho its this seemingly dive-y little place, the meal was very good!! The service kind of sucked, so a waitress not in my section saw me sittin there, took my order. The house beer (its a brew pub too) was really good, and was on the house I found out when my bill arrived, because I sat there too long (like 8 minutes...).

the real kicker is, is that while waiting to be seated, I put a buck into a nickle slot machine and ended up winning $7.50. so after her tip and the free beer, this whole thing cost me $2.

and it was a good 10 oz tenderloin, with salad, green beans and masheed potatoes.smile.gif

I'll go back once more before the trip is over.aww.gif



next up, one more beer on the patio, a bit of a nap is due, then I want to go swim in the pool. we'll see what the evening holds, I am sure visiting the strip.smile.gif

the pool here is way nice! silly me looking around the grounds when its actually on the 5th floor- interesting, its rooftop on the 5th floor, but the place is 17 floors tall. its an indoor/outdoor pool, a nice whirlpool too. hardly anybody in it this afternoon.smile.gif

its actually cool outside now! sweatshirt weather.
