Wow, did we have a storm here last night!! I had put a post up in the "right now" thread saying the tornado sirens were going off and I had to get the basement. Well, good thing I did. The storm moved much faster than they predicted......I no sooner got down there, and it was right on top of me!! We're all ok, no damage to our house, nor any to my neighbors that I could see. We're all thinking the tornado must have stayed just above the tree tops....so glad it did because it was a direct hit! I've never heard the wind roar like that!! What a scary sound that was!!!
About an hour later, another batch of storms came through.....this time there was a tornado down in Woo's area. I sure hope she's ok!! This one worked it's way northeast, which brought it up into the southern portion of my county....sirens went off again, but that one missed us.
The news says MI had six confirmed tornados as of early evening and into the night. That's a lot for us!! We have to go up and check on our cottage over the weekend......that area had two go through, and from the radar pictures last night, it looked like it was another direct hit up there.
Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that I'm ok. I hope Woo is too!!
Yeah, when I was looking at the radar last night, it looked like you guys had a lot of high swirling winds. I'm glad you came out okay. I hope Woo checks in today.
Well, I already took my husband to doctor's appointment 1 of 2 today. The first one was just to draw blood, and then the next one in 2 hours is actually with the doctor. We're also a person down in the office today, and the other two normally go to lunch at 11:30, so I hope the appointment goes fast so I don't delay their lunch any.
As a treat for all the doctor's appointments, we got Starbucks this morning. I don't think they put enough caramel in my latte.
I got to work and was there for about ten minutes when my daughter threw up. I have to say that I wasn't too sad to leave because one of my students was already throwing a tantrum. Now my little girl is tucked up in her bed sound asleep. I can get some housework done.
The rain is REALLY coming down now. I love days like this! We are supposed to get severe storms this afternoon. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Glad you are ok Sandy! We had a tornado? All our shows were messed up from all the weather coverage but our area was pretty calm. However we just heard on the radio that a tornado went through Millington at Barns Rd where my husband's Aunt and Uncle live. We don't have there number on us so we are trying to wait a bit for his parents to wake up (they are in Arizona right now) so we can find out if they are ok. From what one person said that lives there is that no sirens every went off!

But thanks for thinking of me. Our sirens did go off but there was nothing in the area. Later on there was some thunder. But I did have the computer off just in case.

I hope your husband's Aunt and Uncle are ok.....that storm started at Perry and as it moved across, the wind speeds were increasing....it got to Millington in no time at all. Hope you guys are able to reach them and they're all right!
