I'm happy to say that I worked my butt off to reorganize the house.
Remember the old studio? Well, it's now a master bedroom! MzHartz thought it would be cool for me to show you all what I did, so here it is...
Ya gotta admit, it looks a lot more HOME like doesn't it? I finally have a bedroom I can actually walk around in!
But as I promised you guys, I didn't stop thinking about an eventual return of Freeze-Frame Radio. I spent last week investigating options that would work.
MzHartz originally presented me with the idea of a "Listener Owned" station, and that thought was rolling around my head a lot as I tried to think of how it could be done without need for the crazy big set up or the time consuming work.
On Thursday night around 11 PM the idea and concept hit me. I only slept about 6 hours the next two nights as I pulled together what JD calls Freeze Frame Radio version 2.0
With some MAJOR help from Webguy and advice & input from MzHartz & FireFly we've crafted something that I think just might work.
The first thing though was setting up some sort of broadcast area again. Radio shack had an amazing little device that lets me run two computers from one keyboard, one mouse and one monitor. Or in other words, I could run the broadcast computer at my current desk without need for anything other than another CPU laying around. That means less space consumption which was a must.
This is the little magic box...
That little puppy might have saved Freeze-Frame Radio by itself!
It allowed me to set up a very basic studio at my personal computer desk, without taking away from my living room.
So that takes care of the physical part of the station. It now has a VERY small impact on my home.
Next was the actual broadcast and the website. It's a drastically different situation that it was before, but we think it can work!
