Saturday

Going to a church fair this morning- all five of us. It is a HUGE thing for me- a first that my whole family is going to spend time at a church related function and no one is complaining. I am working the jump castle for a bit myself. Should be nice outside too- a balmy 69!

have a great!

What temperature is it Ruby? ;)

Not sure how I'm going to organize my day. Just take all the chores I need to do this weekend, and start on them in some order I guess. I'm in a mood where I just want to stay at home wrapped in my nice warm robe.

Hello ladies.

No 69 here, we're 31 right now.

I have a new hard drive to put in my laptop sometime. I want to have it done, but I'm so NOT looking forward to the process of getting everything all reinstalled and set back up again. Ugh. I may start that today. The nice thing is I can put the new drive in, work on it a while, then put the old one back in to carry on with business as usual until I have time to work on it some more.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is the clean up that comes with a new install.

Crazy I.M. lady is back. I got about a month break. I got an email this morning "I want to pay my bill and start a new website now . . . come on MSN so we can talk about it." I'm not in a hurry to start this cycle over yet.

I hope your Saturday is good. smile.gif

Web, maybe you should tell her that you're afraid she won't be able to keep on paying?

Yeah . . . I dunno what to do. If I say anything to even hint that I'm tired of it, it hurts her feelings. I think I'm either going to have to just put up with it, or hurt her and try to not let that bother me.

A pleasant 56 here, sun, blue skies but a bit of a breeze to cool it down almost too much.
Lazy day here. Eating my leftover curry from last night. Mark and I went to Manchester to see the Proclaimers at Manchester Apollo then went to an Indian on "Curry Mile".
I had felt bloated all day and could not manage it all...so they kindl packed it up for me to take home!

Web, you're such a good guy that you're worried about hurting her feelings. But you're also a business owner, and she's your most dreaded customer.

Hello all!smile I am pretty tired this morning. My daughter has been running a fever for the past two days, so she was up most of the night.

I have my grandmother's birthday party to go to tonight. She is 73.

Happy Saturday all. I just spent the past couple hours running virus scans, getting rid of old programs we're not using, cleaned up my hard drive, burnt some music files to disc, and organized all the files my kids have into something a lot more manageable. My processor seems to be running faster now, so it was worth it.

This afternoon, I have to help my youngest daughter gather information for a Greek mythology paper she has to write for school. They're going to start reading "The Odyssey" next week, and she's supposed to write a reference manual listing each character with in-depth descriptions about them. The teacher says this will help them understand and appreciate the book more. I don't know of any high school kids that actually liked this book......I'm thinking my daughter isn't going to either.

Weather here is sunny and 52. Would be a good day to go for a drive to see the fall colors.

Hope you all enjoy your Saturday!! smile.gif

Right now I am taking a break to soak my feet. Last night we ran around the outlet stores and spent some Christmas gift cards- lol
I got my outfit for tonight and am pleased with it! smile
Today had to run around get the oil changed, buy awesome boots, and had to go back to the chaotic outlet stores to exchange what my husband bought since he did not try anything on. no.gif
Now I am soaking my feet since I will be wearing brand new boots before I have to get the rest of me ready.

On a side note I wish I knew enough about computers to give my pc a clean up. I would have to pay someone or have someone do it by remote. There is so much stuff on here. no.gif

well the pow wow was pretty neat. some of the ornamentation on the costumes was really cool.
the indian taco was really awesome. the dancing was fun. At one point they got the little kids out there to do their dance and that was fun to see. It was full, but certainly not overly crowded.

I bought a wolf- jaw bone and a book of peace pipe prayers.smile.gif oh and some bulk spearmint and ginko billoba tea.

here is a link to watch some of the stuff yourself if you want- they announced between dances that they currently had people from japan, greece, and some other nations tuned in as well as from US.

Sounds like everyone is having a nice Saturday!

It's Sunday 11.25am here and I am screaming to get out of work and go to bed...I been here since 5.30am! I finish at 10pm tonight so I am not a happy little camper! And I have the flu...Summer flu!!! bleh.gif Nothing more worse than it! It's what I get for having fun sailing!

By the way I have had to move out of my little bunglow because wet season/cyclone season is approaching! I'm holed up in some cute little staffing quarters here at the resort! I still overlook the sea! I don't fancy having the water come drifting through my place anyway...dear lord...the crocodiles will be floating around the streets once more again soon! I loves them but that's just too close! My beloved Wally has taken off somewhere too...a couple of weeks ago...but he'll come back again one day soon! I'm going to stick Christmas holidays out here in Weipa because I really don't want the loneliness of what I went through last holidays ever again! I don't like spending Christmas alone so I am going to spend it with friends here at least! So for now I'll be seeing wet season come in once more again!

Anyway take care everyone! I'm always around! But always when you are sleeping!

Glad you enjoyed the Pow Wow JD!! I like going to those myself and have been to quite a few. Did they have any open dances where the public could join in? Not all Pow Wow's have those, but a lot of them do. I like browsing the hand-made bead work items that are usually for sale, and have picked up some very nice pieces of jewelry. I also find some of the dances to be a deeply moving experience. I've always wanted to go to the big Pow Wow out in Four Corners, Utah.

I've been working on my computer all afternoon/evening too.

I bought a 120 gig hard drive to replace the 80 here in my laptop.

Since the last Windows update, the laptop has been running incredibly slow. I was recording the intro to last weeks sermon and it would barely keep up with audio recording.

So . . . I put the new hard drive in and started the restoration process. It took FOUR HOURS to do the restore, then do all the current IBM updates, then do all the current XP updates. Sheesh. I was amazed at how fast it was running again with just the OS on it. I started adding a few programs when I remembered I didn't export my Firefox bookmarks and a few other things. I have the old hard drive back in now getting those things I need. I also need to practice for tomorrow and I don't have all my music moved over to the new hard drive yet.

Rebuilding is such a BIG job. no.gif

sandy it was way cool! I bet if we would have stayed longer, we could have done a public pow wow dance. We were kinda bouncing along in the bleachers tho for awhile there. It was really great. smile.gif here are some pics!
