Ruby turned me onto MyPoints and I gotta say I am BEYOND impressed.
In under a year I amassed nearly 28,000 points! Granted, I had some big purchases in there, but it's cool that so many stores I shop at anyway offer points for your purchases.
Anyway. I turn in about 23,000 of those points on Friday, for six $25 Sam's Club gift cards. The site said it would take 2 - 6 weeks for them to arrive. THEY GOT HERE TODAY!
If you haven't signed up for MyPoints yet I highly recommend you do! Even if you don't shop on the net you get five or six emails a day and earn 5 points just for clicking on them!
I've been on My points for several years too...although I didn't amass 28k points in a year, I've done close to that in my time there and I don't use it as much as I should to max out points (I also use Upromise to help pay for the son's college education) - MyPoints is a graet thing, and the prices aren;t inflated to account for the free stuff they will give you!
right, that was the big thing I was worried about.
But all MyPoints does is serve as a door to get to the regular website. I try to use it for everything, and I have to say I've often used the businesses they list over another business just for the points.
$150 towards a purchase at Walmart or Sam's club, that's really a nice reward!
I cash in at 1,400 points every time for a gift certificate to various restaurants (they are worth $10), and most of what I use it for is also my click thrus (life FF).
Same here, I just click through on an email. I usually forget to use them when I shop online. But still, I've gotten enough to get a $25 gift certificate, but I haven't decided if I should cash out or just keep building up. Heck, I can't decide what to cash out for!
I'm always afraid that these companies are gonna go out of business, so I'm always cashing in as soon as I reach a level that got what I want....you know the bottom drops out of internet based companies all the time!
