The Never Ending Amber Alert?

How long has this SAME audio file been playing? Two days? Three?

Shouldn't they ATLEAST update it with the make/model of the car by now? They must know what it is by now!

Yeesh!

yeah I agree and it seems like it is playing more often too. But maybe that is because they don't have any new info.

It's funny you say that. It actually only plays once an hour, no matter if there's an alert or not. If there's no alert you just hear that "This station is part of the Amber Alert Network" ID.

But for the last three days with the longer alert I've felt like it comes around a lot more often too.

Personally, I'm good at tuning out the amber alert ad and I perk up to pay attention when there's a real alert.

On the most recent alert, I'm guessing she just ran off with her boyfriend to Mexico.

Thats OK, cuz a recent alert was airing a full day and a half after the girl had been found and a half day after they had gotten the guy too! Good system, but it needs some work!

I think I read at one time an amber alert can only stay active for 5 days.

You would think that the DMV would have that vehicle registered so they would know what the make and model of the car is!hmm

BUT that would require two governmental agencies to talk to one another....and that requires an act of Congress! weirdface.gif
