Ugh Ruby, don't remind me about Christmas shopping! I know I should start now but I'm not feeling the mood yet.

I have to pick up my nephew from the airport this afternoon....he's flying in to go deer hunting with the men folk in my family. Since he just turned 14 the other day, this will be his first hunting trip here in Michigan. He's staying with us for a few days before they leave. smile

That's about all that's on my agenda today.

Today I'm supposed to help put up flyers for an event. But I've been doing so much lately that my house is a mess and I'm slacking on a few chores. So I think I'm going to stay home and get some stuff done. I also need to go to the grocery store, but they're having some holiday event thing today, so maybe I'll wait to go.

But, I also invited a friend that I haven't got to see much lately to help put up flyers, but I haven't heard back from him on whether or not he's interested. I emailed him again. I just hope he doesn't show up expecting me to be there.

I am staying home first too. My house needs some love. Emily's summer clothes need to be put up and fall clothes brought out. I just finished cleaning out the bathroom of everything. LET THE CONSTRUCTION BEGIN!

Happy Saturday.

I've got my backup files moving across the country. I took the pickup to the tree dump and got it emptied out. I then took the old mattress to the shop to store it out there until we decide what to do with it. Then we got the new foam mattress put on the bed. We'll sleep on it tonight and try it out.

Now we're watching the Husker game and starting to think about finding something for lunch.

Bit late but here I am! And get it right people...it's bloomin Sunday and it's 7am! I been at work since 5.30am! Soooo wrong to be up this early especially if you knew how much beer I drank last night!

Well I finish work at 12pm for once today! Man first time in ages I have not had a 15 hour working day on a Sunday!! Yay!!!! Gonna go lie in the shade somewhere, avoid flies and the incredibly hot death rays of the sun! Soooooo hot!!! And hopefully we will not have another blackout tonight! Wet season has hit here and we are getting those ferocious thunderstorms every day again which means the power goes out for ages! It is so dark here in a blackout and can be quite scary! But I did stock up on candles yesterday...the barge finally came in so I will at least have some form of light again! The shops ran out of candles a few weeks ago so the majority of the town has been completely without light many times in the past couple of weeks! Can be fun considering what type of wild creatures I live amongst!

Anyway I hope everyone is well and enjoying their weekend! I hope one day soon to finally run into someone in here again!

Well, I did what I said I would, I cleaned the house (well, at least the part that anyone sees) and I did grocery shopping. Now I'm making beef stew. I wish I would've made bread to go with it, but there's not time, and I don't feel up to it. Brian's had a head cold, and I think I'm getting it.
