No Sunday Thread?

I just got back from the fabric store.  Bought some flannel and knit to make some pjs.  But first, I need to start on the Christmas presents that I'm making this year.  So I'll turn up the tunes and get to work.

That is pretty funny.
Flannel PJs. Sweet. Homemade, super sweet! We switch flannel sheets on last weekend after we got home from camping. It's much nicer sliding in to sheets that are "frozen" feeling.

Happy Veterans day.

Today is Mrs Web's birthday. Ha ha, she's a year older than me again.

I don't have much to report. Its a nice day, its 68 at 1:30.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled weekend.

51 and raining here.

I want some flannel sheets. But our bedroom had a black, wine, and dark pink theme (it includes some nude paintings, so my hubby's fine with the pink), so I haven't been able to find any flannel sheets to match.

The PJs are actually more for something to wear on Sunday mornings when I don't get dressed right away. If they don't look too pajama-ish, I might wear them to tai chi too.

The Christmas presents are going to be painted plaques that say, "Remember, people think we're a normal family." I'm doing them in the country-ish style, so if you don't read it, you'll assume it says something like, "Home Sweet Home." My family will love them. But step one is to drill holes for the ribbon to hang them up, and Brian's drill's and dremel kit's batteries ate dead. So it looks like I'm not going to start them today.

Happy Sunday all!  Man, it's been a loooong day.....seemed like every time I looked at the clock only a few minutes had passed.  Must not have had enough to occupy myself with today. hmm

Web, hope Mrs. Web had a very nice birthday!!  smile

Mz, flannel jammies are nice to lounge around in on lazy winter mornings! nod.gif

Well right now to me it seems like it should be going on 11 or so.  I hate this whole dark by 6:00 thing.  I'll adjust to it somewhere around March or April, haha.

I know what you both mean. The time change still has mee off...I wake up extra early now. My internal alarm clock only lets me sleep until 8:04 AM on the weekends whether I like it or not, so now it's 7:04. giggle.gif And of course, I get super tired and want to curl up like an old friend by 11:00.

maybe the problem would be solved if we could just destroy the concept of time. idea.gif

although if I could do that, I might try and move on and kill the concept of cold and darkness too.hmm.gif

I KNOW MY LIMITS.smile.gif

laughing.gif Didn't we talk about doing that already? Wasn't Riggs going to build his own town or biodome or something and change the conventions of time, etc.?

Well, if we all moved to Alaska in the summer, we'd have close to 24 hours of daylight. biggrin  Don't know where we'd have to move to experience that in the winter though.

my brothers best friend (haven't seen him in a 8 yrs, easy) was a brilliant brilliant guy. He so sooo helped me with my Logic class back in college. What I couldn't get was like natural for him. Figured out the Rubrick's cube when he was 10 yrs old etc..... But somethin snapped, and the last I heard this is what he was doing- living in a mini-van with curtains, going up to alaska to work in the fish hatcheries during that season, then goin to colorado to fix amplifiers in a guitar shop. the guy likes his sunlight and his snow...adds a new meaning to chasing the sun....chasing the sun and snow....weirdface.gif

Sounds like that guy they just made a movei about...what's it called? He gave up all the social conventions of life to move to Alaska and experience life differently.

There's a guy like that that PBS shows a special on every once in a while. Jack loves that show.

I'll have to watch for it Mz.  Do you know what day/time it's on, or is more of a special they do every once in while?
