RE: Worst pop song/band of the 1980's

I liked 99 Red Balloons too!

To be honest, my fondness for the 80's has made me like EVERY 80's song, even the ones I used to hate.

I thought that was normal ya know?  Time heals all wounds and all that crap!

I can't believe my friends actually liked New Kids on the Block. I was a rebel, so I didn't like them just because everybody else did. Looking back, no really, their music was really really really bad.

I have to agree with Mz. Has anyone seen the boy band episode of South Park? Their song was better than anything New Kids on the Blook put out!

there was this band called "stars on 45" and they did a mix of all sorts of lines from songs "Oh baby I love your way/ I'm as free as a bird now". they were TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!! IT was like a kareoke pop sampling synthrsizer wedding band. it was horrific!!!

The "Baby.. / Freebird" was actually Will To Power, not Stars on 45.  And yes, it was horrible.  It was a DJ who first mixed those 2 songs just to amuse himself, and it led to a big hit.  Horrible!

Compare the song that Stan's dad's (it was Stan's dad, right?) boyband sang with any NKOTB song, and they're practically the same! Though, if I watch that episode, I'll be singing Fingerbang for the next 24 hours!
