The thing that got me though was Winnie Cooper she was my dream girl!I even had a teacher like Ben Stein except my teacher was 60 and talked out of the side of his mouth. One day we had to watch a three hour silent movie and if he caught anyone sleeping they would automatically fail his class. Daniel Stern was the Narrator (the other guy next to Joe Pesci in the Home Alone movies). I didn't get to marry Winnie Cooper but I came pretty close....
A silent movie with a narrator? Anyone else see the problem with this?
The 80s were such a blur to me, I remember the TV shows in the 70s more than I do the ones I watched in the 80's. I liked Carol Burnett & Co, and I loved The Tony Orlando and Dawn Show. I'll have to get back to you on the one's I liked in the 80's.....

Weeeeeeeeelcome, too faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaantasy Island!!!!
EVERY Saturday night it was "Sledge Hammer!", then "Chips", then "The Love Boat" and then "Fantasy Island".
From there ma n' pa would watch the news and the night would finish up with all of us watching "Saturday Night Live" and me being the only one to stay up and watch "SCTV".

Hey JR, i think we need to find a flyin Deloreon or somethin and go back to 1985!
When MTV came out, my mom got cable just for it. We really couldn't afford it, but we had to have MTV. The only time MTV wasn't on was when my mom let me watch Nickelodeon and some cartoons Saturday mornings.
So, my favorite shows would be Headbanger's Ball (I even got to stay up late to watch it!), You Can't Do That On Television (my mom hated that show), SheRa, Smurfs, and of course, the Muppet Show (which my mom would watch with me!). Oh, and ALF, my mom always let me watch ALF.
