Good morning everyone.  Friday is finally here!! smile 

Tonight our city has it's Christmas lighting ceremony and I think my girls and I will be going to it.  All the little shops in our business district stay open late and pass out treats, there are hundreds of gingerbread houses to look at and vote on for the best one, trolley rides to various places throughout the area, horse-drawn carriage rides down the main thoroughfare linking the East and West sides of the city, our Japanese Tea Garden and Tea House will be open and offering tea ceremonies, our zoo will be open and decorated for Christmas, Christmas Carolers will be strolling the streets, and lots of vendors around giving out roasted chestnuts, hot chocolate, hot dogs, bags of roasted peanuts, cotton candy, and Christmas cookies.  The best part is everything is free and there are no vehicles allowed in the area so you can walk and cross streets without traffic!!  We went last year and had a lot of fun, so I'm looking forward to it tonight.  smile

Yeah pretty much, the second floor isn't finished so we are getting the pounding noise and the smell of varnish or stain, we were all pretty sick yesterday. They must be starting it again because I am getting a headache. Aren't you supposed to have ventilation or something. weirdface.gif

good mornin...made it through the day yesterday AND came home smiling. Our safety inspection went really well, we ended up with a 85% because of a tear in the carpet and a wet ceiling tile. The carpet was supposed to be replaced but was put on hold until after the 1st of the year....and the ceiling tile was replaces a week ago...its a constant thing.


The coolest thing was our quality of our glasses, we got a 100% the first in the region in 10 years. I dont know if anyone watched Good Morning America last week...but they did a secret shop in a LensCrafters store and didnt get very good quality. The glasses met all government required guidlines but didnt meet the companies standards....so they ripped on us pretty bad. So to get a 100% quality score.....means our store is off the hook for all the "crappy" training and they are telling all the store to be more like us....do it right the first time.
