Saturday

I woke up too early for a Saturday.  I think my tummy is a little upset.  I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do today.  I need to clean house, do laundry, go grocery shopping, and work on Christmas presents.

Good morning all.  My youngest daughter is in our Christmas parade today, so I'll be leaving in about an hour to go and watch it.  Later today I have to go to the grocery store to buy the stuff for Thanksgiving dinner then do some laundry.

Mz, I hope you'll feel better as the day goes on!

Enjoy your Saturday everyone!! smile

Good morningsmile

I had a horrible night last night! I woke up with a stabbing pain in the lower part of my stomach. I couldn't walk and ANY movement made it feel worse! I called my doctor and he said that it sounds like I had an ovarian cyst rupturehmm I took pain meds and finally got back to sleep about 6am.

My mom decided to pick up Anna at 9 this morning to let her spend the night tonight. That will give me the opportunity to clean the house like I want to.

Well I hope everyone feels better! cry
I woke up with a headache but I'm not complaining after reading that!
I got heat now,but the work is not all done. They have to return Monday. They left my mudroom light on the breaker box open, the heat was cranked up(they don't pay the bill!) and my aquarium and tv had no power! My fishies were frozen! furious
I had to call the landlord to come back over and get the power back for part of the living room. It wasn't a breaker. It's his stupid wiring of the house. He had to go back in the crawl to get the power up. Oh and they hit the aquarium with something because there is a nick in it.
But I have heat! They haven't changed the thermostat either. My husband says that if they don't then he is.

I hope you ladies are feeling better by now.

I've been busy today. It was so nice outside, I hated to waste it.

I got my normal Saturday server stuff done and opened a new account for an order that came in this morning.

I ran all over town trying to find a garden type sprayer. Its out of season for them now. As expected, the last place I went to (the hardware store I try to avoid) had some in stock. So, once I had my new sprayer, I filled it up with some insecticide and went to work spraying all around the house outside and in the basement, then all around the shop too. Hopefully that will slow down the crawling things.

I had to run some brownies ( Mrs Web made) to the church for an event tonight. While on the way back, I squirted the dirt off the car at the car wash.

I got the hoses all drained and rolled up and the air conditioner covered for the winter.

I climbed the tower a couple times and did some repairs to my ham radio antenna so it should be good through the winter now too.

I answered a couple more work emails, kicked the football around with the boy a while, took a shower, and here I am. I think I'll go play radio a while then get to practicing again for tomorrow morning.

Happy Saturday evening!

oh hello.smile.gif

this looks to be a quiet evening, which will be good. it has been non-stop go go go go for a week now both at work and outside of work. I think wine, dinner, perhaps a movie are in order. maybe a game of mystery rummy or tsuro or two.

web I sooo have to do stuff like cover up the air conditioner & close the storm windows. that will be tomorrow. right now I hear what sounds like sleet hitting the air conditioner.

thats about it.smile.gif

It was fun playing radio. I haven't made any contacts in a while. It was a "contest weekend" where it is an organized event to see how many contacts you can make in a given amount of time.

I made 10 contacts (weak in contest terms) in less than an hour:

One to LA
Three to TX
Four to CA
Two to WA

outside the window, the lawn and the car windshields are covered with a thin layer of white that fell from the sky. evileye.gif

on the tele is Pink Floyd's "Delicate Sounds of Thunder". Its pretty good for music to fall alseep to. I always had a problem with Pink Floyd after Roger Waters left, until that Division Bell album came out. There were simply too many people on stage that weren't floyd. floyd back-up singers, who's on bass, a second drummer, various utility musicians. Its not floyd. Maybe its resentment against Gilmore, but he is brilliant.

I think this concert must have been filmed in 1987 or 89 perhaps, because the mullets are so funny!! men in their 50s, in mullets. the crowd, all mullets.
I kinda wish I had more photos of my friends and I from back then. I bet we look as goofy as this concert crowd back in the day.
