Work, trying to get ready for Christmas, all that schtuff. It seems the time goes by way too fast! I have so much Christmas shopping to do yet and it's freaking me out, too.

Oh I know what you mean...I can't get the straight scoop on what anyone would like this year. I hate to get all gift cards, but if I don't get some ideas soon I may have to resort to that for some of the gifts.

What about giving gift cards to book stores, music stores, stuff like that where they have to actually purchase something other than household items?  Just a thought.

Well it's better than what I thought it was.  I thought she was using some kind of weird shorthand for kinky sex games her and Sparky were playing.  ashamedwink

Socks, haha, every Christmas my granny always gave each of us a package of socks whether we needed them or not.  It was a standing joke among all of us....."you got socks? me too".  As she got up in years and Alzheimers started setting in, I'd get my brother's socks and he'd get mine.  He looked good with those lacy cuffs!!!!  biggrin

Actually, I prefer conditions where I can be without socks and shoes. I haave always loved beeing barefoot or just wearing flip flops. I've grown used to it - in my family you usually don't wear shoes in the house, and socks are optional.

We don't wear shoes in the house either, but I do keep my socks on till I go to bed at night cuz my feet get cold.  My mom used to wear shoes all day until she went to bed.......I could never understand how she could stand to have them on all the time.

yea I don't like shoes in my house either- why dirty up the carpet?bleh.gif

why do people have hang-ups about wearing socks to bed?
I don't now, but back when I was growing up, my room was in the basement. I loved it, but it could get cold. my socks kept me extra warm.smile.gif

That would drive me crazy! Socks are OK when your feet might get cold, but shoes all day would feel like little cages on my feet!

Oh I don't like to wear socks to bed unless my feet are really cold. I don't like how they feel when they get twisted around or start to slip off while I'm in bed.

I know what you mean about being cold down in your room in the basement JD.  After I had moved out of my parents' home and had been on my own for a while, there was a time when I had to move back in for a bit.  They had put my bedroom to use as something besides a bedroom, so I had a room in the basement.  It would be freezing down there in the winter, even though the basement was heated.  Sometimes I had to sleep with socks and a sweatshirt on when it got really cold out.  Needless to say, I moved back out as soon as I could, ha.
