Ok, that's enough snow.

We've already eclipsed the monthly average for December and we're not even 1/3'rd of the way through the month yet!

Although in 2000 we had just under 50 inches of the white stuff in December, so I guess 14 inches ain't so bad.  hmm.gif

This is from a local parking lot...

I KNOW!

I was at the K-Mart on 68'th & Greenfield and saw that.  It was WTH!

Granted, it's all the piled up snow from their lot, but still...

It's too early for that big a pile of snow no.gif

I don't know about youse guys but, when I see a pile of snow like that, I wish I could have the week (or more) to build the coolest snow fort inside of it.
I think it was last year, there was a thread about how much snow we had. Stories about the old days etc. My favorite fort story was included.
It took us several days to dig out our fort. When we were done, there was room enough for four or five of us. We had a fridge, tape player with speakers. No heat. Flashlights were the light source.
Snow Sculting comes to mind also. Two years in Madison and one at Noah's Arc. Pretty fun. International event.

yeah, I used to love burrowing into a big pile of snow like that too!

It's like a pre-built fort, you just have to carve it out the way you like it.

I imagine that's a bit risky, you could get buried if it all collapsted, but as a kid I never cared.

We always dug tunnels through snow piles and drifts like that too. If our parents would have made us work as hard as we worked on digging those tunnels, we would have thought they were killing us.

That is way too much snow for being this early. Those piles will be there until spring.

We got about 5-6" on Saturday. It was really light and fluffy stuff though so it was easy to move.
