I'm less sore this morning. Other than that, I have coffee in hand, ready to take on the day. We're in the Christmas down-time around here now, so the only thing I have on my to-do list today is filing. When I get the filing done, I have to go through the samples we have on display. I think I'll take my time filing.
I'm not in a very good mood. I have been trying not to let myself be consumed by things but I'm just wondering when we will get a break. First off I know how silly this next thing is gonna sound but it is just one more thing to add to things happening to us. Last night we got our haircuts and our stylist told us she is retiring next week and will be moving to try a new career. She is maybe around 40. As great as that is for her that sucks for us. We have been with her since before we were married and followed her when she switched salons. Now we might as well just go back to getting cheap haircuts. Now the weather is supposed to be throwing everything at us in just a few. Work did not call us off or give us a delayed start so we will see how this day goes.
Also has anyone heard from DS or Thumper? I know OK got hit with severe weather.

Oh man, that sucks Woo. I finally found a stylist I liked, and then she left that salon and no one will tell me where she went. So now I'm back to square one. So I feel your pain.
Thank you Mz! Sorry you have the same problem though. I just know she was cutting us a break. When I needed to go elsewhere because she was on vacation it cost me more. We can't afford more. So I am guessing we will revert to cheaper haircuts. But I am growing my hair out and that is so hard. But with her I trusted her and could just leave stuff in her hands. I could never see without my glasses what she was doing anyway- lol!

Since my husband just has basic long straight hair, the way we reduced costs was to go less often. We really only get our hair cut 2-3 times a year.
But the thing I keep trying to cut down is the cost of shampoo and conditioner. I usually use the salon stuff, but I decided to try a cheaper alternative for a while. I broke down and bought the salon stuff again, the cheaper stuff just doesn't work as well. It's the same with my husband. I braid his hair every morning so it'll stay out of his way during the day. He used his good conditioner last night when he took a shower, and this morning his hair was so much easier to brush through and felt so soft. But man, that good conditioner is really expensive.
Good morning everyone! As Woo said, we're under the gun for some nasty weather heading in our direction. It's already snowing here but it's supposed to change over to sleet, then freezing rain. They say 3-5 inches of yuck by this evening and another 2-3 overnight.
Sure hope everyone who lives in the areas that got hit with a major ice storm yesterday are ok. It sounds like things got really bad for some of our friends.
On a lighter note, my oldest girl rented Guitar Hero III yesterday. Woooohooo, is this one ever a blast to play!! I've already made it to the last section of songs playing on Hard.......I only have "Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden and "One" by Metallica to beat, but they are killers on the fingers!!! I know some of you have played previous versions of the game, so you know how hard the songs get. They made some great improvements in this one.....hammer ons and pull offs have vastly improved which makes it seem more "realistic" when playing with the guitar controllers. The song line-up is awesome with a lot more of them done by the original artists. I highly recommend this to any of you that have played the other Guitar Hero games!!!! You won't be disappointed with this one. There's also some other great features they added, but I don't want to spoil it for you.
Hope everyone has a good day!!
Woo, I sure hope you and your husband catch a break soon!!
I have not heard from DS but she is in Sapulpa and the Ice storm that came thru Oklahoma shattered the city as well as anything on this side of I-44. In Tulsa there are over 100000 homes without power including my own. we were down all day yesterday and got a teaser about 6 pm when the power came back on for 5 minutes then cut off again. the neighborhood next to us was also out all day but when ours came on so did thiers but theirs is still running.
I am at my mothers doing Laundry. We stayed last night in the apartment and bundled up but it got friggin cold in there. The Electric company is saying that it will be about December 18th before full power will be restored across the City. Other power companies from the surrounding states are heading this way to help out. Capital One where I work had a delayed opening on Monday of 10 am then they changed that to 12 pm. till 5 pm. I called as I was not going to go in for 5 hours when its a 25 mile drive one way. I called this morning and either they are without power or to many calls ins but today Capital one is Closed YAY
THe weather is supposed to get above freezing today 47 degrees. The roads are not bad but the ice is whats killing the City.
Other than that all as good as it can get.
Woo I hope your day gets better and keep safe. MZ I would take all day to file if you can. ( unless the samples are chocolate then you want to get there first )
I asked for any of the Guitar Heroes for Christmas from my Dad, so hopefully I'll be trying it out for the first time later this month.
You should enjoy any of them....My son has GH II and GH III as well as Rock Band and loves them.....only problem is that he thinks he now knows how to play guitar!
Sorry to those who lost their hair stylist. It's not a major thing, but when it's piled on top of everything else I can understand why it sucks even more.
I only get 2 haircuts a year. I think my hair grows pretty slow because after a month I still look like I got a haircut. But I get it cut pretty short and kind of enjoy the fact that it's longer sometimes and shorter others. When I go to get it cut short again it totally seems to change the shape of my head from "Charlie Brown round" to an oval again
I actually went through a stretch where I had three barbers die on me in a little over a year. I was starting to think I was cursed. Expecially when the last one was only in his late 30's or early 40's! I never saw that one coming!
man, like EVERYTHING IS CLOSED in town today!?!? It snowed, maybe 2 inches!?! but the public schools are closed and UWM IS CLOSED!?!?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!? THAT NEVER CLOSES!!!!! I HAD TO DRIVE THERE IN 12 INCHES OF SNOW TO TAKE MY LAST FINAL EXAM!!!!!!
