A FIFTH calander year for the forum!

2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 & now 2008.

When I think about it I'm truly amazed.  To think that this has been going for almost four years and that I've known some of you almost as long!

I keep thinking about how when JD & I started this website my father hadn't even been diagnosed with cancer yet, I hadn't even started the courier job I had for two years, and one business ended while another is struggling ot get started.  It all darn near blows my mind.  So many changes in such a short time.

What about you all?  I know many have changed jobs.  We haven't had our first wedding yet have we?  Or wait, didn't Myndi & Somechick get married?  (not to each other of course). 

So many have been lost to IT police or job changes, or just lack of interest.

I hope we're all still chatting for the next 20 years!

I am glad that I have been here for most of it. I truly have met some real friends and special people that I feel blessed to know!

holy cow. how time flies.weirdface

lets see,
5 yrs ago. I was still technical writing for a company I absolutely positively hated. The place ran on paronia. I was doing 60-65 hr weeks on salary. So so happy I got out. Doin the sunday night shows was really a break from all that. One night devoted to something fun!

I was in the same apartment building, just in a smaller apartment.

still was in my 94 ford escort.

I've since became a Nichiren Buddhist.

Myndi and Somechick were both engaged when they came to the forum, though.

But now that you mention it, it is surprising that we haven't had more life events. No new babies or anything like that.

I haven't been here as long so I don't think there has been too many changes on my part. I am truly glad that after debating whether or not to join the forum that I finally did! I can't imagine not coming here and checking on you all on a regular basis! I was probably a better employee before laughing.gif but this gets me through my day! I love you all! aww

I've only been around for the last year but I feel that I've made some lasting friendships here on the forum.  smile

The only changes I've had during the past year is my oldest daughter graduated from high school and started college; and my youngest daughter began her first year of high school. 

And I turned another year older, but we won't talk about that!! hmm

Lots of friends made and many lost.

My events are I changed jobs and I have 2 of the most adorable god children ever. I gained weight and still think about Sparky and bathrooms every now and then LOL

My little one was 3 months old when I first came here, now she's 3 years old! So many friends have come and gone but for the most part we have had our loyal members stay....and go and stay again. wink.gif
