Well Christmas is upon us
May I take this opportunity to wish a Very Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate it and happy holidays to anyone else.
May we all stay safe and warm and may we all be blessed at this time.
At this time I spare a thought for those who have lost loved ones this year and those who are homeless or alone or in a depression or otherwise ill. - Praying that they too are blessed this Christmas time

We were taught early on that we were very fortunate. I'm not sure if my parents were trying to cover the lack of gifts in comparison to our friends. I really think they meant it. We've passed that same idea on to our children (not because of a lack of gifts) This year we are "pooling" our would be gift money and donating to the Veteran's Administration. We all have so much "stuff" already. Even the nieces and nephews are pitching in!

Merry Christmas everyone! Squonk that is a very thoughtful gesture. I am among the very few in this city to work today I think. There were maybe two or three cars on the way in this morning. If all goes well I will be out of here by 12:30.

I gots a bad case of the Christmas blahs the last few days. It's like I'm looking past Christmas to the New Year which I just can't wait to startl. hmm.gif

I hope everyone has a great holiday though.

Squonk, that's a very nice gesture on your families part. We've considered doing that in the past, and we have donated SOME money at Christmas, but never the whole shebang. I gotta say, the gifts under the tree are a part of the holiday for me. Not so much the getting but the giving. I'm so excited about a few of the presents I got people this year that I just can't wait for them to open them.

I miss having the little children around. My son is 22yrs old. He's a good kid but, when they are little... everything is so exciting. The only down side of the little ones is that, sometimes they get lost with all the gifts and going from home to home "collecting". It's sometimes hollow. They don't realize that until they are older.
Well, tonight is my mom & step dad's place. First thing a.m. on Christmas day, the boy and his girlfriend will visit for brunch and gift giving etc. Then, night time! The patio is open once again! I'm doin' burgers on the grill!!! I will have to clear away the snow from the speakers. Maybe I can post a photo.

Merry Christmas everyone! I won't have time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas tomorrow because it is going to be CRAZY for me.

Anna will open up her Santa gifts, then we are going to my parents' house to open gifts with the entire family at 11am. By 1pm I have to be on the road headed for the airport. It takes about an hour and a half to get there and my flight takes off at 4:10pm. I should arrive in Milwaukee at 7:23pm!clap.gif

I have a feeling that this is going to be an amazing Christmas!smile

Hi everyone..I decided to be a bad girl this year....and use the company laptop to sa hello. smile.gif The mall isnt very busy yet..I have seen one customer come in my store and one phone call. This is a waste of a work day.

 That would be odd to find a cat in there. I don't own a cat. hmm I took my dog to the kennel, so I know that she is safe and sound.

To everyone who is traveling the next day or two, be safe, and be careful.

I miss you all, Merry Christmas. And I hope 2008 brings us all happiness, safety, and lots of smiles. I have a lot on my plate right now w/ my brother, but please pray for him to find help and a willingness to recover from his addiction!! That is all I want for the holidays!!

Happy Birthday Ruby!! I love you girl!!

God Bless our Troops, let's keep them in our prayers. There are a lot of men and women who would love to spend the holidays w/ their families, but unfortunately can not since they are serving!
