today is inventory counting day at work. It is now 6:15 am, and I have to be there by 7. Without a doubt that sucks ****.

Oh, and we had Christmas at my dad's yesterday. I got Guitar Hero III! Now today my fingers are sore!

 It's ok Mz, we're supposed to have a week of unseasonably warm weather starting on Friday.  By Monday they're talking low 50's!  WOO HOO!


Cool beans gettin' the guitar hero!  That game is just getting bigger and bigger!  It's all I heard about the last month on TV.

I've only got booed off the stage once so far.  Of course, I'm at the very beginning on the easy mode.  And I had a battle with another guitarist, and it took me a few tries to kick his butt.

Morning all!!  It's a cold one here this morning too.  I have to be at work in half an hour and I'm not looking forward to it. cry  My week off went by way too fast!!

Mz, glad you got the game!  It was a huge seller this Christmas....I know people that are still trying to find one as it sold out in all the stores around me.  I was at Best Buy on Saturday when they had just put a new shipment out on the shelf, and they were gone in 10 minutes!!  Rock Band also sold out around me. 

Hope everyone has a good day.  The weekend isn't that far away!!  smile

Today is the boy's last day of Christmas vacation. That means that this is my last day of sleeping in, playing electric race cars, and working from the recliner for a while too. hmm.gif

I need to spend some time doing some billing work today/tomorrow and get caught back up again.

We currently have no temperature. It says "Sunny & 0 degrees F".

for the love of all things freakin holy.

so ok, I am part of the WIP team for inventory day today- Work In Progress. Need to count the images and sheets of all work in progress. Should be a breeze. You look at the Bill of Materials.  50 books at 10 pages each = 500 sheets. multiply that x2 for double-sided books, will = 1000 images.

I have a cart of all sorts of **** on it with no Bill of Materials. So I go to the bill of materials system to generate a Bill of Materials for this ****. ANd then the system crashes, because its being flooded for inventory use and report generation. On top of that, the IT team is upgrading the system as well.

So you may think I could go old school and do a weigh count of the sheets of paper. Can't do that. Multiple stocks used for various unfinished products. Some of the products not finished are needed to be cut in 1/2 because they are 2-up. 1/2 of the products may already be cut, the others are waiting to be cut.

The only way to do this cart is to physically hand-count the pages of 1 complete book and go from there.

In some cases I get lucky- there are sequential page numbers. But most of the books begin with new page numbers for each chapter, A-1, B-1, C-1, thereby thwarting an actual page count.

This year I get 3 weeks of vacation, up from 2. I swear to god, I am so taking off  Christmas Eve day through Jan 2.  End of year is bull****. furious
