...is not starting out well. My car died on the way to work, right after the oil pressure light came on. A quick internet search shows that this will probably be expensive.
Eeew. Some kinda oil pump thing? What kinda car? (New - Old?) I was bored so, I did some quick art work for one of my fellow employees... thought I'd share.

They released my brother-in-law from the hospital yesterday. They believe his cholesterol is high and is what caused the blood clot and stroke. They gave him some meds and released him to come back to work. If the meds don't work then he will have to have a stint put in his brain. yikes! I haven't seen him today yet, but when we visited he was still slow and his lip was still not back to normal. My husband saw him trying to play Tetris and that was a challenge for him. But it looks like it is temporary- we hope.
now back to Monday-

My car is a '99 Saturn. So kinda old. But I just paid it off a few months ago. From the quick search I did, it sounds like because I was hearing the loud sound, it's something in the engine itself, not the pump. And I kept driving it to get Brian to work, which sounds like was a HUGE no-no. The fact that I couldn't start it after it died means I could've seized the engine.
Sorry to hear about the car, Mz. Do you have any idea what the problem is? I hope it isn't as expensive as you think.
Squonk, I love it! It was a good weekend for football!
Well, it's Monday and I don't feel so blah today. I'm over the bug I had, I had a great weekend, and today might just be a quiet one. I went to see the Rock Hall of Fame dhow at the planetarium. It was fun! Loud classic rock and a trippy effects show in the Imax Theatre makes for a great diversion. My favorite segments were The Doors' Break on Through and Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2.

Morning all- praying for you MZ. I was totally stressed this am. I made a list of what I need to do and now I am depressed! Anyway gonna go get my day started and try to tackle some personal things too!

I have a 2000 SW2 (wagon) with 93,000. It's been an experience to own it. We bought it with 5,800 miles on it.

Why does that kind of stuff always seem to happen right after you get it paid off? Geez, I hope that's not the case, Mz.

Hey Woo, do you have anything you can use for a hot compress for your neck? It sounds terribly uncomfortable - maybe a litle heat would help loosen it up? I'm glad to hear your brother-in-law seems to be improving - I'll be chanting for his full recovery.

Sorry about the rough start to your morning MZ, that really stinks!
Not much to report here, other than it was a GREAT weekend for football!
Thanks to the Dallas loss last night the NFC Championship is here in Green Bay next Sunday.
If we had to go to Dallas I put our chances of going to the Superbowl at about 50%, but now that the NFC Championship is here I would say we have about an 80 - 90% chance of being Superbowl bound!
Then Mr. Favrelous will do the unthinkable and put an end to New England's storybook season, stopping them one VERY important game short of a perfect run!
